She is a lovely individual and very easy on the ears to listen to. Her parents sound a lot like my parents (minus the alcoholism). I was most interested to hear about how she overcame her self doubt and depression. Very insightful. I loved her book. I read it twice in one week.
Is true what Michael says. Ned reached the redemption in the ending not wanting fight or kill Julie. I think she could have had something really romantic with him in some way, or platónic on Next movies having them as Main characters yet or in series
We the people have always loved this movie. We are now longer silenced by the industry critic gate keepers. The internet has given us a voice. Hands down my favorite karate kid movie. Acting was on point natural and believable. The bowling scene criminally underrated. Michael/Ned character definitely redeemed at the end. Powerful scene the eyes/expressions legit. I almost cried!
Fan theory: Luke had a relationship with Wards first wife and he is actually Rafe's father. They are both violent, reckless, act on impulse, have mood swings, sociopathic tendencies and prone to addiction to drugs. Also that would make JJ and Rafe brothers, and that would be wild to see.
i rember pj pill. yup i was 10 years old when i seen pj phill on gamerz on ytv. good times. yup all us kids now are in our 30s and mid 30s and kid of there own now. im happy pj phill is doing well. ytv was the best because back then no smart phones. no internet. just a house phone. tv and cable and good old N64. the old days are coming back to me. i miss thos days.
His casting as JJ's dad was perfect. Him and Rudy look alike so much. Both very handsome men and great actors. I love to hate Luke, he's a very interesting character, very raw, complex and real, true to what he's supposed to be in the show... Well written, as Garry said. I just do not agree with him when he said that people like Luke are ignorant of their role as father. They know and most of them do love their kids and express it in some twisted ways, they just don't have the tools and the possibilities to overcome their own problems and act like they should, or they continuously choose to not do so because of the path they already are on.
I love this guy!!! Ben is literally the greatest kid ever, on any TV show ever; I would love to have a son as smart and as cool as him. Then looking at this interview - Isaiah is just so cool too! I know there will be great things in his future and I look forward to watching him in other shows or hearing about whatever he chooses to do next as I'm sure it will be a success. Have a great life Isaiah- you're awesome 👌
I recognize Lois by her face, for sure. I live not far from her in the same state, and always wished I would be able to casually run into her. The Giver had a gigantic impact on my life. I have various forms of it, and I will never stop loving it. It was my first introduction into dystopias, and it cemented my personality trait to question everything (something people in authority found/find to be threatening). My love for dystopias continue, and it is all because of her and the teacher who introduced us to the book. I was able to finally thank that 5th grade teacher for that impact, after running into her in my early 30’s, but Lois will likely never know. Her housing community had the first few deaths for the whole state during the pandemic. It was a worrying time period in general, but I found myself checking the news often in fear she was one of the ones who had passed.
