A Great Record Changer is Life Changing!! Ask Someone who used to have a Record Changer, Would you Play your Records if you had a working Record Changer?
My Mission is to provide Record changers for daily use which includes a video of each item working!
They’re available on eBay see the link below ”currently available by areeko"
I also enhance or Recycle ugly-ish models with physical issues and incorporate them to my "SPARKLE" Series. Thanks for your support!
The reason my channel exists is to show a demo of each eBay listing I offer, for a record changer/stereo/player, is in working condition for daily use. Common audio brands we remember from memories of family events, parties, and in friends' homes. The icing on the cake is that my subscribers like watching my record player commercials! I never even considered that would be a thing!
Sure you will have done a great job for her. I didn't know Technics made these very early ones, though I see its a BSR strange that, thought it was the 1980s when they put some neat decks out (auto changers) the Technics 1950 is one great example. We can't get hold of them here in the UK unfortunately, Cheers.
@jasonadams371 that's a hard question! I had been playing records, all sizes and speeds for many years untili bought my 1st 45 which i think was It's "So Nice to be with You" by Gallery
Do you have a tutorial on tonearm balance and adjustment for this the SD 720 I just picked this table up at a garage sale and powers up seems to work but cant get it set up correctly

@slowpawstevet3676 I must be a hero then! the rest of the 300 or so videos on my channel are mostly all restored record changers, that people bought based on the a record player commercial like this you just watched
Not really. LPs were created at a time when record changers were the norm, and changers remained the norm for another 30 years or so. I have reords dating back to the 1960s that are in fine shape, including a batch that was included with a Magnavox stereo console that I bought at an estate sale.
@@areeko My reply was to the original poster, who claimed you were some sort of brave man to stack records on a changer. I don't think it's necessarily brave to do so; records manufactured at the time were made specifically for use on such equipment. I was alive when my Magnavox was manufactured, too. In fact, it's identical to the one my old man had, aside from the color. I think dad's may have had the upgraded amp, too, but I can't be sure of that. Granted, I was four at the time, but that thing was solid and beautfiul and sounded magnificent for the better part of 20 years. before he sold it rather than moving it all the way fron Dubuque to Cincinnati. Damned shame, I loved that old Micromatic changer, and it was the reason I bought the one I have now. Almost 60 years old and it runs butter-smooth. The records I got with it sound wonderful. One of the records that were included with it was the first release of SINATRA AT THE SANDS.
My recollection of the BSR turntables was that they were generally very poor performers, often found in the cheapest "all-in-one" stereo setups. My wife had one where the friction was so enormous in the tone-arm pivot that you could visibly see the needle straining left and right in the cartridge as the platter turned. Basically wore out the groove after a few playings. IMO not worth repairing.
Sounds like it needed some service. that's not nomal on any changer. They offered bunches low and high end models and were the largest manufacturer in the day, but they all had their ups and downs!
@@slowpawstevet3676 Agreed, good name "vinyl rippers" BTW. I've had at least a dozen turntables through the years -- BSR, Garrard, Philips, Technics, Onkyo, Sanyo, B&O etc. My favorite by far is the one I use now, it's the Radio Shack Realistic LAB-2200 Linear Tracking Direct Drive Turntable. Doesn't look like much but it's awesome. I can even still get cartridges for it. Never going back to a non-linear TT.
Hi Rosie! Thank you for visiting, I'm Honored, really, Im not just saying that! You are iconic(in my view) I dont have the patience to provide that kind of content. I have so many mentors from you tube that I love and and still learn from every day. My joy comes from the freedom i have artistically to create and rebuild. It never gets old for me to hear music when finish one each & everytime. Plus I started really doing it 25 years ago when ended up fixing evry thing I bought that sellers said worked!!!! I continued to resell my finished pieces on eBay. the past 4 years have been full force as an LLC without a real job! LOL

Had a friend who had a whole MCS setup including this turntable. And what crack me up about this video is that Hydra had just come out and that seemed to be all he'd play for like 6 months. So this definitely brought back some memories. MCS components were pretty good as they were Technics under the skin and JC Penny did stand behind them if there were any problems.
go to the listing in ebay and find out for grins anyway. I do eBays' international shipping but i dont see what the customer pays, and eBay handles it all. so basically my box goes to an ebay hub and they do the rest.
I have two of these in mint condition that are slightly different. I have all the spindles with both, the short spindle for 33’s and long stacking spindle and 45 record changer. I find it fascinating that you can’t interchange the adapter spindles cause they made them different sizes.
Sold a few of these tables when I worked at Best Products. It's a direct descendant of the Panasonic changer of a few years earlier. Reliable changing mechanism. Some people just HAD to have a changer and we had these and a couple of garrards. Sold ONE Garrard and dozens of these in the year I worked there. This was so much smoother than the Garrard in operation. The spindle can be switched out to a single play spindle if you still have it. Nice sample of this table.
@@areeko It's been nearly 45 years...I'm not going to remember that, friend. We had two different Garrards and they were both changers. That's the best I'm going to remember. No one looked at them when the Technics was on the same shelf. One big seller for the Technics was the absence of the retaining arm that pulled down on the records. Without that, the disks dropped more gently on the one below it or on the platter itself. And after your question, I did a google...The 42M is one of the two we had. I'll never forget that tonearm.
@@TexTom1981 Best Products... That's a memory! Worked there in 1988 for the Christmas season. Also bought several electronics from there over the years. 👍
