The Anglican Chorale of the Diocese of Southeast Florida exists to sing the beautiful service of Choral Evensong and to renew and nurture this heritage throughout Southeast Florida. Based at Trinity Cathedral, the chorale is directed by Matthew Steynor and accompanied (and occasionally directed) by Christopher Harrell.
The Anglican Chorale is comprised of talented volunteer choristers, many of whom have musical jobs elsewhere on Sunday mornings (at Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist and Lutheran as well as Episcopal churches), although the group also attracts unchurched musicians who enjoy getting through a large amount of music in a short amount of time. Due to the unique nature of this group in the South Florida area, participants hail from as far as Deerfield Beach and Homestead.
I am really enjoying the clarity and excellent balance in this recording of A Palm Sunday Antiphon. Bravi! A parish choir in a smaller building might wish for a swifter pace.
Your RU-vid recording of Orlando Gibbons/George Wither "As on the Night" is absolutely gorgeous. I managed to transcribe the music from the video, but is it available commercially? or did someone prepare it for this group? If I'm ever in Florida, I will definitely try and visit the cathedral...

What a beautiful, soulful, and meditative film. Photograph melts into photograph, each one lovely in itself, and each one profound in all the thoughts and emotions the images conjure up.

A beautiful film, made all the more beautiful by the Howells music, beautifully sung and sung with conviction by the Chorale of Southeast Florida. The destruction of Coventry Cathedral in WWII is a sad and shocking story. But the restoration and new building is fine and spiritually strong, perfectly rendered in Kitty Morgan's images. The look of Coventry now is severe but uplifting and transporting, just as the music here is. Charles Warren, Boston, Massachusetts.

Glorious choral music! We were transported by the accompanying meditative film to a state of peace and serenity. After a busy day, this was just what we needed to decompress and feel centered. Thank you for the beautiful presentation.
