Michael has never self claimed himself as the GOAT (as far as I am aware of). That being said - no one has the KILLER INSTINCT like Michael. I have it seen since his 3 peats runs! He will say, we are not going to lost this game. Even with the food poisoning - his last championship game - he push through to win - because he didn't want to play a game 7 in Utah. Just an amazing player. I haven't seen the days of basketball since. So I give it to MJ. And by the way, I am a Detroit Piston Fan from 89-90 era and I can even admit his greatness!

As talented lebron is at playing all 5 positions. He’s not as skilled as mj and I grew up watching and admiring lebron but he’s no where near MJ God like skill level and clutchness when it’s needed.

GOAT is a word that doesn't do justice to the people who played in different eras, and time lines and metrics are biased for instance Basketball rules were changed to prevent wilt from scoring, Rusell had more than 10 NBA rings, o Kareem goal scoring technique hasn't even being copied until now, and many more. Everyone of this players contributed to the great game of basketball we all love and enjoy.But on the global platform we can't deny the fact that The 1992 dream team played an impact in the popularity of the game of basketball the way they played and how they decimated their competition it's something that was never done and after seeing LeBron play in the Olympics countless times will never see him do, him calling himself the GOAT in absurd he doesn't hold a candle to some of the players in his era worse more those beings that defined and ushered a new era of basketball

MJ scored a lot but he missed a lot of shots too. His points per FG attempt (1.31) is lower than Shaq (1.47) and Charles Barkley (1.52). Those 6 NBA Championships would not happen without great rebounders (i.e. Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman) grabbing the ball for MJ.
I like Lebron and thinks he's great I hear Lebron about cleveland drought etc and the comeback, and that was amazing, but it doesn't make you the Goat.. It means yall did that. You can list a player who is the top or top 3 of every description in basketball, steals, scorer, defense, shooter, 3 point, clutch shot, etc whatever, However they were good at that thing, some good at 2 things, Mike was good at Everything .not in a masters of none kind of way, but a master of each.
