I for the life of me cannot understand why people are complaining about Okamiya's guitar playing. He completely totally rocks the house here! Blown away by this video every time I watch it.
Jazz virtuosos play Chrono Trigger and it rules. Metal virtuosos play Megaman 2 and it also rules. Drummer is ILL. Also CONSIDER THIS. it was only 33 years between the end of WWII (1945) when USA and Japan were bitter enemies and the release of Megaman 2 in America (1988) that is a pretty remarkable turnaround. #ALLIES 🇺🇸 🇯🇵 ☮️
Are video games art? What other kind of art inspires in such a way? This has a kind of early Pink Floyd vibe to it (when they'd improvise to psychedelic videos) I think Takashi Tateishi would be proud. It's interesting to consider that it's as if Mega Man is the lead singer, but he sings nothing, only shoots his blaster, yet there is such communication. It'd be fun if the guy playing the game was dressed as Mega Man or if you had another cosplayer stand in front of a mic that doesn't work and dances and aims his blaster around.
fucking BUTCHERED airman stage. One of the stages that really could have shined on the guitar. Great stuff but man that made me have to pause and comment this. Practice that one more... oh wait this was 11 years ago and you guys probably have real jobs and families by now.
This is great. This band is solid. I love that at some point there could be an interview where they ask "So what do you play in the band?" "Me, oh I play the Nintendo"
I wonder if Nobou even knew what the roaring was about and just decided "hey that's fun, I'll join in!" I guarantee if he knew, he'd be running over to the arcade machine for it.
