Im living in the Uk now. Here eventhough weed is illegal people still smoke publically. And people drink in public. The thing is the people in pur country doesn’t have the etiquettes or manners. The people Abroad do all of these and wont disrupt or disturb other people. The police here doesn’t even care cause they know people who do it wont cause any problems. But if there is any issues regarding that they will arrest them . Thats how it should be done
What good is an educational system that:- 1. Gets the most pious party just one seat in the State and does not support Hindu Rashtra? 2. Embraces commies 3. Promotes love jihad? 4. Creates entities like PFI? 5. Encourages madarsas? 6. Started India's first porn industry? 7. Sends off people to gulf to work as slaves?

Fashion or trend. This guides the new generation decisions. Just a handful of students with wealthy or influential background have their education in those big institutions like Oxford, Cambridge etc. Most Indian middle class students actually join a three tier college. Are these students making any progress in their career with such education? If not then why to waste our money to foreigners? Invaders like Mughals and British had destroyed the pre-existing education system of India. The British replaced it with Macaulay system and ensured attainment of that kind of education important to gain positions of power in British administration of India. So it became a goal for some of the freedom fighters like J. L. Nehru, S.C. Bose, B. R. Ambedkar to gain the western form of higher education. Though these guys were not entrusted to run India's administration by the British government but they became competent to argue with British for India's independence in all forms. They were capable and confident to mobilize the less educated masses into agitations for freedom movement. However, it doesn't mean we can't create exceptional universities in India. However, let's not run in their tracks where they had a headstart. We have lot of indigenous knowledge of our ancestors in various fields that remained untapped from the colonial era till now. Not everything can be a waste in that. We can restart research in those fields like ayurveda, yoga, arthashastra, vedic maths, etc. and create centres of excellence in these. I am sure if India had the first civilization in the world, then there must be a higher level of knowledge to make that happen. We are underestimating our potential.

He is wrong. Kerala is losing talent. I work in the Europe and have investments here, savings here and pay tax here making the country grow. The combined tax collected from all the expats working here is much larger that the mediocre remittance that we send home. My tax alone is 70k, I spend another 1L to live here. I send home at the most 50k but I will obviously do this only until my parents are around and then this country gets all of what I make. I unfortunately can't help my own state cause it doesn't want to help me. My friends from Gujarat went back home because of opportunities back there. I can't imagine doing that as Kerala has no opportunities. It's sad.
He is wrong on so many levels. Yes education is given importance in Kerala but quality of education in Kerala is bad. Private schools in north India do have state syllabus.
I have all respects for this officer. But humbly disagree. Brain drain is a given when there are no opportunities. All these kids studying abroad are not studying in Harvards and Oxfords of the world. Many are in substandard colleges world over. And he is talking of remittances, also think of the education expenses that has remitted out of the state.
