OMG, I learned something new from you today, my aloe flowered and I had no idea you could harvest the flower, wow...with a smile, seek and you shall find, can you do a video on how to make aloe tea, and how to harvest the flower, I don't have a green thumb but love learning, thanks for sharing, one more question, when it flowers does it mean the aloe is dying off?
Yes, this video was very useful for me, all the years of watching videos on how to harvest and save also vera your method is the best I've ever seen, ice cream scooper which saves wasting the also, cutting at the base instead of what I do which is cutting a piece of the leaf off, I always felt like I was damaging it, and freezing it... you did the process so skillfully from start to finish, happy Lady here I'm subscribing, I appreciate this video and thank you for sharing!!
Always wanted to give this a try, I hear so many great benefits about Moringa, didn't know it was easy to grow, definitely purchasing this now, thanks for sharing!!
WHERE!!! HOW!!! DO I CUT DEAD FLOWER STEM AT 1st LEAF OR GO TO 2nd LEAF AND THEN CUT DO I CUT BEFORE THE LEAF DO I CUT UNDER LEAF AFTER DEAD STEM???? YOU SHOWED US NOTHING
I would say about 1 to 2 feet from what I have seen. One thing I noticed is these are a bit thin for privacy hedge and several have to be planted close together. You can also investigate emerald green arborvitae for privacy screen. Happy gardening.
FYI - no one else shows this online - thank you for showing us this - would love a video of the new growth and results as it’s terrifying to cut them:) also if a large branch breaks off is there a way to fix
Will do soon, lot of new growth has emerged already. As long as you follow the pruning tips in the video it is okay to prune. Regarding the broken off branch, it would be a good idea to remove the branch and do a clean cut on where it broke so that it helps heal faster. Happy gardening
I've just got one from the nursery, and it has a lot of branches. It is summer now, though, so should I cut off other branches to train it to the tree form?
If you have transplanted the plant will be in shock. I would suggest avoiding any pruning during the first year after it is transplanted. Let it establish in the first year and then you can start pruning from 2nd year onwards
Is there any possibility of getting it from within Pakistan ? I had an accident injury in my left limbs (shoulder, elbow, ankle, and knee) still not fully recovered. Kindly facilitate me.stay blessed.
@@asmamalikawan Sorry to hear that and wish you all the best to get well soon. You can try searching online to see if you get it in pakistan. If not in Pakistan you should be definitely be able to find from one of the online seller from India.
The best way to harvest is to peel from the bottom like i have shown in the video, If you cut on the top it will make the the remaining leaf portion to turn brown and rot
Let me tell you something. I’ve had cherry trees, my entire life and I’m 46 years old. Every single year they have eaten them before they got ripe until 2023 and they would not touch them. Now it’s 2024 I got three full trees of cherries and not a single bird will touch them. Don’t tell me it’s because they’ve got another sourceof food that’s bullshit. Somebody answer my damn question please. Why the hell do you think birds are not eating the cherries?
Thank you for showing us how to harvest the banana stem water. Please do I continue to take the water though I always experience a nagging headache when I take it.
@@NorCal-Gardening Early spring is when fruit trees bloom out so pruning then wipes out the crop as the fruits of trees I see only bloom on one year old growth stems.
We have 2 that have been in the ground for 2 years (this will be their 3rd spring). They’re about 3.5ft tall now. We have never pruned them. 😅 But I would like it to be a strong tree as opposed to a messy bush. How much should we prune now? Is it safe to do so since we haven’t pruned for 2-3 years/ever? Thank you for this video! Very helpful & encouraging!
They are pretty resilient, you can prune in spring. Early spring to late winter is the best time. Pls follow the tips on the video and don't prune more than 1/3rd of the tree. Happy gardening.
Italian Cypress tree roots go deep and spread about 18 to 24" wide. They are not considered invasive. To be on the safer side leave at least 10' from the house foundation.
I planted one next to my wisteria last year. It's's showing a lot more blooms this year even though it didnt really grow the first year at all. It did take a beating from the afternoon sun though.
My pomegranate is 3 and still hasn’t even flowered yet but it’s nice and bushy and has lots of leaves. Hopefully it will start flowering and fruiting soon. I think bc it doesn’t get a lot of sun it’s probably slow growing.
Thank you. I never thought to dig up my Siam and Thai basil. I love them so much. I wonder if I can keep them growing and producing leaves in a greenhouse.
