The repertoire of a barber might have changed over the centuries from bloodletting and healing the sick to what it's still standing until today: Haircut, Shaves and a sense of community. Barbershops were in high demand for a good long while back in the 1950s and was traded in for the sleek and shiny hair salons in hippie hair sprayed 190s until now in all parts of the world. The revival of Barbershops seem to have increased drastically but not so much back at home (Myanmar). Visiting local barbershops was a weekly ritual, where man would socialize and banter. The smell of tobacco, pomades and neck powders would fill hte air, inviting people passing by to come in for a quick shave and enjoy the comfort of a barbershop. Everyone has that place away from the hustle and bustle of the real world. Since it's been opened in Yangon in 2018, Burman is set to bring back nostalgia and heritage with a modern twist.
