Had to live in Texas for a year and a half and couldn't wait to get out. Sure there's no income tax. But TX has one of the highest property taxes, auto insurance, property insurance, and health insurance in the country. All while education ranks at the bottom half and crime index at the top half, but hey the weather is "great". There's also little to no consumer rights, but a great business friendly state.
I want to expand my construcion machinery rental business and I’m between Austin or Houston, what would be your recommendation? I have family! Thanks for this video! It’s 🔥🔥
5:00 are u sure about that? I looked it up and it's a little over 3 miles we have one in indianapolis that runs from downtown all the way to the north to the suburbs which is about 20 miles long
#1) Landscapes : There is The Gulf of Mexico is the largest gulf in the world. Home to barrier islands, shipwrecks, historical forts, white sand beaches, wilderness, and thousands of species of plants and wildlife, Its 600,000 square miles of sea make it the ninth-largest body of water in the world. 15,419 species of different sea life that is alienish looking in there own way. Also to note. Every other year or so you hear in the news about people catching the flesh eating bacteria while taking a swim… For the “flat and bearen land” . We have the East Texas Piney Woods. This woodland is part of a larger forest that extends into Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. 38% of Texas land is forested, about 62,400,000 acres or 97,500 square miles. This is an area larger than the total area of any of 40 of the states…. As for Mountains. The top 20 highest peaks in Texas are over 7000 ft. 11 of the 20 are actual mountain peaks. The state of Texas is home to 2164 named mountains, peaks, and hills. Guadalupe Peak (8,757ft/2,669m) is the highest point and Emory Peak (7,785ft/2,373m) is the most prominent point. #2) Western Culture: If you want to be stared at weird, spend 1000$ on western clothes. 🤦♂️. Don’t be that guy that shows up at a Friday kickback bbq in fancy western attire. Save it for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo if you feel you need to floss. The rodeo last a month. That should be enough time for you to realize that a simple Carhart jacket some Levi’s and a simple sports hat that represents one of our many Major League sport franchises. Don’t be weird. 3) Obesity : We love BBQ 4) Guns : A lot 5) Weather : Texas is the most air conditioned place in the world. Love it or hate it it’s jungle like humidity and heat sometimes if your around the Gulf and surrounding coastal areas. 6) Road Rage: That’s why you need to carry a gun. In Texas law they made it were your vehicle is an extension of your house. So you can non alive someone who is trying to break into your vehicle. Makes a mf think twice about what you might be carrying.
Ok. I'm in Houston so it's a slight bit different than Dallas. I guess it depends on where you are but you don't really see that many people wearing cowboy clothing. We DO love to hunt here and believe in protecting our families so the gun laws here are on point. That doesn't mean that just because you carry one, you can just shoot at will. Try to retreat first but if that's impossible, you do have the right to upgrade force. Our heat. Let's just say I was born and raised here. I lived in Tacoma and worked at the paper mill there before they closed. (Simpson Tacoma Kraft) We had a paper brake on the steam rollers that dries the pulp when it comes through. All of that had to be pulled out. It's so hot in there that they could only spend a couple minutes in there before having to take a brake. That was a lot of steam in a small area. They were amazed at how long I was in there and STILL was able to stay longer. It had no effect on me. I say that to show you just how hot Texas gets. I love our storms though. They put me right to sleep. These aggressive drivers didn't really get that bad until recently. After covid and everyone stated moving down here. If you're driving from east to west/ north to south or whatever, it's gonna take you, at least 24 hours to drive through. Just because the land is so big and because of traffic. I hope y'all don't thing I'm trying to go against what he's saying. He's right. It's just that some things are SLIGHTLY different from where he is in Texas. Just slightly.
What exactly do people love about Dallas so much!? No matter what day or time it’s going to be atrocious traffic EVERYWHERE!! Even during the week the traffic is horrible!! If I could do it all over again I would’ve moved to San Antonio or even Tyler,Texas and VISIT Dallas!! Y’all newcomers better do your homework before you fall for the hype!!
There's no city vs city competition. The only difference between Dallas and Houston is that Dallas has much of that Midwestern/Oklahoma influence while Houston has a more Southern but much of a Louisiana influence. Both cities distinguish themselves from one another based on their cultures their vibes and their regional cuisines.
Dallas has zero OKLA influence. Not at all. I used to go back and forth between OKC so I know this. Midwestern? Yes. Dallas could easily be a city in the Midwest.
OMG....your videos are amazing! Talking, recording, driving and flying a drone. Where can I sign up for your drone and video shooting training class?? 💯
I think you missed the higher than average crime rates, insane health insurance premiums, home insurance premiums, and auto insurance premiums in the list of cons.
Do NOT move to Texas. We are SICK OF BEING INVADED FROM EVERY DIRECTION!!! We started building the wall on the wrong border. You are NOT welcomed here.
Born and raised tx, lived in plano twice, currently live in pnw north of Seattle and its stupid expensive up here and everything is lower quality, trash along the highway, nothing is mowed or up kept, taxed to death for everything but everything is falling apart and never gets any of that tax money spent on it, crappy rude people everywhere, $1500 a month day care, almost $5 a gallon for gas, crappy restaurant with ok food 2 burgers 2 beers $85 without tip, there is zero culture up here and its end of june early july and its still raining 😢... Im trying to get out of the dumpster fire but it cant happen soon enough
@@DallasRelocationGuide lol thank you for the reply, I really miss southern hospitality, and good foods, and sunshine, the only thing good about up here is my equity has more than doubled so that's awesome. Hope to see u soon, take care now, and best wishes.
Whewww! Confirmation. My heart smiled when you said Starkville, MS! I’m planning a move to the DFW area from Columbus, MS! Can’t wait to embrace the city’s offerings 🫶🏾
Amazing video my brother!!! My wife is a veteran. Didn't know about all of these benefits. Especially the property tax one. We've been peeking at the DFW area.
Question, I live Fort Worth/ Saginaw Texas but I’m looking to see what cities are the best to move to that are not to far from Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie and Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth
it depends on where your at in your life. Id have a differnet answer if its just you than if its you and some kiddos. But reach out and schedule some time with me and we can take a couple minutes and get you squared away - bit.ly/ChatWithMarq
So true. My nephew lives out there, and he advised his sister, my niece, not to move out there. Traffic is horrible, one street in and one street out. Also I heard the crime is bad out there. But Forney is one of the few suburbs that homes are still fairly affordable.
So the traffic is a situation currently but they are widening the highway to 6 lanes which will elevate much of it on the highway. Now in town is still going to need some improvement but for the price, safety, and schools is a solid option
Crime is not bad in forney. It’s certain neighborhoods that have issues. So sounds like you relatives may live in one of those which isn’t a true reflection of Forney as a whole. If you go south of 80 and ask any of those residents how the crime is it will be much different from some of the neighborhoods north of 80. Which neighborhood does your nephew live in?
@@DallasRelocationGuide Thanks for the reply! My family is planning to move out to Dallas sometime this year or early next. Your videos are very helpful. Also, very well produced. Cheers.
It kills me how these transplants that move from other cities to another city reference themselves as "We" lol When in reality you're not a native of that city and you don't even respect the culture. You're just extracting the perks. My advice is avoid Dallas. It's no longer a hidden gem
I'm just giving an honest observation. You shouldn't have a channel if you're going to be emotional about the feedback. Besides if you're a "professional" in the housing industry why give such a unprofessional response or why even respond at all? Lol A professional wouldn't of given a emotional response like that. Says a lot. Glad I live where everyone can't afford it because you would have to deal with unprofessional people like yourself that fake being professional all to make a realestate sale. Good luck
