Hi April! Loved your presentation at the Wi3DP TIPE conference. Do you have a tutorial on shop procedures best practices for 3D printing and post-processing?
Hang on i just watched another doco, on the first one, Bob and Shelly . So who was first then, coz it's pretty sad to think this guy is claiming himself to be it ...
This guy should be giving far more credit to Michael Reynolds rather than patting himself on the back. None of this would come to pass without his visionary genius!
Not to be disagreeable - Michael Reynolds was not the first to use tires rammed with earth. There are homes that were built in the early seventies when the idea came about. It is kind of funny how "ideas" seem to happen at the same time. Now - on the other hand - the is no one whom has improved upon these designs like Michael Reynolds has and he put his "license" on the line to do it. The establishment can brow beat and deny all they want - Michael Reynolds is the ULTIMATE champion of housing for the people of the world LITERALLY able to do it with GARBAGE and SUCCESSFULLY! And that is why the establishment hate him unless they have some kind of ridiculous "angle" that they want to use his talent for. Blessings!
wow seriously? I couldn't commit to commune living at the moment but i would definitely be interested in helping and being a part of building and understanding how a earthship is put together from the ground up.
How about a remake where we can actually hear him speaking and less of the music covering what little can be heard at all ? And actually showing the home would have been nice too. It is getting really tiring of all vids that want to put "groovy" music to it and take away totally from home and what people want to know about, the house. If you want to make a music video, then make music video.
Hi Martin, I think its a fantastic idea, and I am working towards building one myself. A question about sewage/septic system. How have you done it? Did you have to modify the Earthship Biotechture method or is it the same? Do you have a leechfield or a contained system? Composte toilet or full flushing toilet? Thanks, Ed
