I always think people are overrating Necrophagist, bringing them up in every comment section, but then I hear this cover and realize how they can't be overrated, and we deserve to drool over how good it is
IMO, this is the best cover of this song on the internet. It's got the phrasing and the feel that I think Vitek had live and on the record. Honorable mention to Krimh, who also got the feel/spirit of Vitek's playing with the cover he did. Vitek was a genius to be playing at this level so young. RIP to a young master.
This is hard in so many ways. Besides the obvious (the speed, precision between hands and feet, etc) that thing he does when he’s blasting but hits the bell of the ride cymbal on upbeats with his right hand in a pattern while keeping the left hand going on all counts is way harder to play than I thought it would be

Why does the base drum sound change at like 2:58 or so and last until 3:20? I listened to other recordings of the song and it does the same thing. It seems like an intentional choice but i'm curious about why.

Man I wish we had the guitar Play throughs going when CHON did Stabwound with Rüdinger. Those guys in CHON are some of the cleanest players in the young generation.
Damn I remember when I got this album back in '06 when I was 7th or 8th grade. Would love to see more songs from this album but doubt it lol. Alex you've come a very long way and keep up the good work
