I agree, i did forget many cards and had poor placement for a few, which could have actually made the card take out the mega knight an example being poor knight placment
One of the most awesome ways to take out megagay is a bandit in the middle, about five tiles down I believe, just as the megagay is nearing it's jump (about the second or third tile down). By the time the bandit deploys, it starts to charge, the megagay jumps, but the bandit charges which negates the jump damage, and both the towers target the megagay with the bandit, resulting in a +4 elixir trade.. but of course if there's a log or something else to disrupt it even a bit, it can cause the megagay to get your tower.
I defeat the mega knight in different ways: First, place the tesla in the centre and throw the goblin (dart or spear goblins) closer to the middle tower. When the mega knight destroys the tesla, he jumps to the goblin and then activates the middle tower with low health. Another option is to place bowler in the middle. If the level of the mega knight is not higher than the level of the bowler, or he is not 2 levels higher, he will be defeated without damaging the towers
