Man I think 2 is great and more memorable, but I do enjoy the first one a lot too. While the 3rd doesn’t hit hard as I wish it did, compared to 2 and 1. 4 is alright, doesn’t have the same feel to the past 3.
I love that the Guillotine series came back to Ronnie. He did say once that Monte stole music from him while he was in prison and I'm confident that it was the guillotine series. It started and ended where it should have and it creates a bridge between the two bands besides the early work that Ronnie did in ETF. In a way, in those early years up until ETF's 3rd album and Falling in Reverse's second album, the bands were still very connected, Max worked on that 2nd FIR album, he worked on the ETF albums at that point and Omar Espinosa also worked on the first 2 FIR albums and that first Escape the Fate album, so it made perfect sense that this series ending with FIR was an end to everything connected between the bands.
The crowd is not allowed to sing along, this live had really strict and shitty rules thats why the band look so frustrated also the microphone is not that great either as you can hear by the basey muted guitar tone
This was my introduction to metal. I was probably the only black guy listening to this stuff haha around my area at the time anyways. The band is great, the music was and is, beautiful and gets me amped for running and lifting sessions. Caused me to start listening to alot of the early metal from all the hair bands up until now. Good stuff.
Imho if they played metalcore instead of emo, they probably would be one of the most famous metalcore bands of all time. Their best songs are metalcore..
