Hello, I think you should check how they balance together. I, personally, would use something smaller for spinning, but this is my personal preference. I use these reels for feeder fishing paired with Daiwa Ninja X 150gr. 3.90 rods.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. Even if there is MK3 round the corner, MK2 will remain a good and valuable pod. You could probably wait for black friday if you don't need it right now. It is usually discounted.
I use it sometimes for background music/sounds at lower volume. If you want to use it for the entire house, I don't think it's the right one, this one is a pocket radio, for individual listening.
Hello, I honestly don't know, probably time will tell. One of the reasons I personally chose them is that they also have the vibration detection system in adition to the roller.
You probably could use it for spod, the spool has 2 clips and the reel has a powerful drag, but it will retrieve less line per crank than a spod reel, 8K retrieves 108cm/crank. You should also consider its weight, which is on the higher side.
Have you seen the new ngt net same as what all the other companies sell for well over 100 they want 30 for theirs tackle is coming along leaps and bounds
Hello, Are you talking about some new NGT alarms? Or about their products in general? I only own a small tackle box from NGT, the one I made a video with.
Sorry, i did not catch the "net" word in your first comment. I just took a few minutes to check the landing net online, but I'm not sure which one are you talking about. At the moment, I use 2 landing nets, one is a Caperlan and the other one is Delphin Symbol 110. I actually have been looking for a new landing net with folding arms or easier way to detach arms and net, but until now I could only find the Solar ones.
I personally have not used Shimano Aerlex 10000 XTB, but since they are a bit different (weight and size), I suggest you to check them both before buying, maybe even try them on your rods, to check how they balance with the rod.
Hi, could you please tell me the differences? I see one with beige colour and the other is grey? Is that correct? Or is there more differences? Thank you and regards!
Hello, The beige on the old one I think it's from the sun, I remember them being grey when I purchased them The grey on the newer one is less metallic than the older one and overall the shades of grey seems to be different. Another difference is the spool, more accurate, the grey band that has the lettering on it.
Hi again wildgeek, I had a look again and it looks that it is not very metallic, as you said. I managed to get my hands on a shallow spool (it is the one usually mounted on the reel) and now noticed that the band around the spool must be transparent on both because they have the aluminium colour, only the letters in the shallow spool are bigger than on the deeper spool. Thank you once again!!!
I think the standard spool that comes with the reel is not the shallow spool, at least in my region. You can see in the video that both reels are equiped with regular spools. I bought 5 reels and all of them were equiped with "deep" spools. Here, the shallow spool can be bought separately.
@@wildgeek so it is the same here, it came with the deep spool, but then I bought 2 shallow spools (1 for mono line and1 for braid line). What what I have is the Okuma Flite Surf that comes with 3 spools one deep 8000, one shallow 3500 and one shallow 1500. Best regards
Hello, If you`re talking about Shimano Nasci C2000S FB, the spool is not the same size. Sienna has a capacity of 200m for 0.25mm Nylon mono and Nasci has 105m for 0.16mm Nylon Mono.
I'm a big fan of your channel and really appreciate your style ❤️ As a carp angler navigating these deep waters, I've learned the ins and outs the hard way: - Rods: Century (for an English flair) or Sportex (for a German touch) - Reels: Daiwa (Basia or Cast'izm for newer models, Tournament ISO or Emblem X Japan for old-school vibes) - Luggage: Solar Tackle - Rod rests and indicators: Solar Tackle or Poseidon Angelsport - Bite alarms: Carpsounder - Boilie dips: Only the old ones if you can find them from Kevin Nash, but they're quite rare 😂 - Boilies: Homemade
Hello, Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate them. It sounds like you've got some really nice equipment that you've discovered the hard way, like a lot of anglers do because, besides the technical specs of the gear, there is always the anglers' preferences and the "compatibility" with our hands. That's why I think the best way to choose a rod or a reel is to test them or, at least, to touch/see them before buying. One of the ideas I started this channel with is to try to present as much details as I can for the ones that cannot go to the store to "feel" the products or maybe they missed something. Do you make your own boillies using premixes or starting with individual ingredients?
@@wildgeek I will give you the basic recipe: 200gr Soya meal 200gr Fish meal LT94 200gr Corn meal 200gr Seed mix for birds (!NB: meal) 100gr corn starch 100gr rice meal 10 eggs per 1kg 60ml homemade tomato juice (or salmon oil omega-3) 40ml sunflower oil (or hemp oil) 30-50ml Starbaits dip of your choice Casein 5-20gr (check the label) Betain 5-20gr (check the label) Use your hands to make different size of boilies. Cook the boilies on steam for 6 min or in water for 3min (they need to go over the water). When you buy meals go for expensive ones (BIO). LT94 from CCmoore is good. Catching a Carp on your own homemade bait is one of the best feelings. 🙌 👌 😌 Happy days!
Is this reel sealed at all? Thinking of getting this one or maybe the spinfisher long cast but tht is about 170 more. Not sure if it’s worth it or not to go with the Penn however the Penn is sealed well.
They were the cheapest I could find in Romania. The more expensive ones could have more features, like spirit levels in the top or grooves to prevent line from slipping. I've chosen these ones because I wanted to have the option to choose the distance between them from 3 and 4 meters and also because they are cheap and have a bag.
Hello, You can use both of them because they are crimping different. Wychwood is narrower and will crimp only in the middle of the crimps while Korda will press the whole crimp. There are different opinions regarding these differences on the forums. I personally keep them both in my tackle box, but I did not had the opportunity to test their strength with a special device that can determine the force required to break the line or to pull the line from the crimp.
I think both of them are made for double barrel crimps because they have "cup to cup" jaws and for round section crimps, there are "point to cup" pliers.
