If I did more research to start I probably would have done this, but the amount of utility added by max sylvian affinity was invaluable and allowed me to basically become invincible and stall out fights for a long period of time. Also vinushka skin bible kind of helped with pinecone pig, but I think pinecone pig is a bit overrated.

And Ill take killing some defenseless moonshorching villagers over getting lucky enough to find a skin bible and using two imperfect circles. Also engrave only helps once you have either Rher or god of F&H skin bible so you dont need it straight away and waiting to sleep once is well worth it.
Its an item called artificial soul and it decreases all spell costs. With the right combination of artificial souls and betel stones you can use some spells infinitely, works really well with healing whispers and pyromancy trick.

I use spice forge on mischief of rats to decrease its mana cost. it decreases to 13. after that you can use artificial soul to decrase it even more, making your opponents to be stunned infinitely and you farm your mind. I'd reccomend you to use that combination on weak foes to farm mind.

I always loved to play this way as her. Like, she's worthless in combat, especially if you don't abuse dialogues on top of that, and aim to beat everyone - meaning escape plan is useless as well. Tanaka would probably be stronger than Karin. But she has the drip and looks cool overall, so i just picked her as the biggest contrast between power levels, to make it look really impressive if she manages to outplay all the monstrosities.
Lorewise tho she's pretty much one of the thougest contestant and probably one of the hardest to kill. Tanaka killed everywhere he go if player decide to not help him,, while Karin explore entire city, facing mobs, moonscorched contestant, and any other enemy alone without getting killed. She is also one of the few contestant that can survive up to day 3 evening on her own
Also forgot to say if you will ever start Marina genocide run on 1st day morning you can sleep anywhere except train and face samarie And as Marina you can talk to her after the fight starts and say that theres no need to fight and she would get stunned (no hurting no hand loss free soul stone) full stonks
