Absolutely amazing.I watch all your vlogs but never comment as I’m always in bed without my phone. This is the best Aurora capture on a wild camp to date and doubt it will be beaten I absolutely love the way you shoot your camps. Very cinematic and I know you love that kind of footage. I’m wanting to give it ago on one of my next wild camps with my A7iii and this has inspired me to. I look forward to the next one as always.
Thanks for taking the time to comment and for the kind words. Appreciated. I've still got a couple of Sony A7iii's. Great camera. Will have a look at what you're up to. Cheers
This is exactly the kind of video that brings back my beautiful memories of this place, with your attention to detail and your reverence for the solitude, thank you :)
@@R6PhilOutdoorEnthusiast there’s 8 on the main timelapse sequences. Should do the trick! 🤣 Let me know if you see it on a David Attenborough documentary, I’ll send the invoice
Hey Chris Ive just been watching a few of your videos, you get some STUNNING shots, nice, relaxing and beautifully shot videos. I wonder if you could help me, have you used your 20mm inside the tent for talking shots? Id like to show a nice wide shot of the interior of the tent. I'm just wondering if its wide enough for that type of shot
@@RamblingOn thanks. Don’t recall doing that no mate but not something I usually do. I made a recent vid called Northern Lights wild camp with the lads. That was all 20mm full frame. 12mm would be great for inside the tent, “Spam, stars and shenanigans” was all 12mm.
@chrishomer yeah I saw that video. It was class to see some proper footage with the lens especially related to camping, I had to laugh at the commentary early on in the video 😁 I'll check out "Spam, stars and shenanigans" I'd love to get the 20mm but that one shot is making me look elsewhere at wider lenses but of course, keeping the the f1.8 is a factor too. Thanks a mill 🙌🍀
@@RamblingOn yep, 20mm f1.8 is an amazing lens. Costs a lot for what it is, but brilliant. Used it for this videos Timelapse’s, and almost always take it out as it’s tiny
Hey, great vid! My wife and I are planning on treking to clent hills to see the sun rise. Where is the best place to park and also gain access to the path up?
@@AlphaHark for this route, Walton Hill, I like Clatterbach lane, there’s a little triangle of parking area. Or there’s Walton Hill Road, lots of free parking there too.
Well… that was unexpected! After going to sleep seeing only that “glimpse of the northern lights”, it’s amazing what exploded overhead during the night. Sorry to watermark the sh1t out of it… it’s worth a fortune to me, elsewhere, and YT is full of video thieves… The Starlinks were particularly cool I thought. Lens was tricky, and I was a little annoyed with it at the time, but great with hindsight. Link in the description. Cheers all.
Stunning Timelapse that Chris fairplay was great to watch. I can’t be that far from you I’m in Upton upon Severn, so if you ever fancy some company on a hike and camp let me know 👊
Recently shot this entire video using this lens ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5Duf5_Po2V0.html - A 2 day hike and camp on an English Hill, a short 1.5 minute video
No mate it would be fairly useless. I’ve used big lenses on river boats a fair bit before, 40-1600mm lens equivalent in 5 axis gimbals, and this rig doesn’t even come close. You wouldn’t get much out of it
Check out the full video in the description to watch how the woods change from January to December in much greater detail. I’m now 4 months into my next year long woodland project, a series of timelapse videos. Can’t wait to share. 8 months to go 🤣 Consider subscribing, cheers.

This is why I enjoy doing my little pop up Boo 🐶🐾🤎dog treat stand to raise funds for dog / animal sanctuaries because I aaactually get to engage with others and have real face to face conversations , it's beautiful 😊
your choice of music for your films are perfect Chis , love animals so much , feel calm when I am in their presence or even see them on screen like this . A great way to get grounded 🥰
TOO right , you do what makes your heart sing and watch the channel grow anyway because you are aligned with YOUR rightful passionate path , RESPECT 👊🏼your visual captures are STUNNING , love that the only shooting you do is through the lens , watching from Cornwall, UK 💚 p.s it is very hard to subscribe anymore to channels , keeps getting cancelled out. If you have not already got a Patreon account , it is worth a look to get patrons supporting/funding your work and not controlling the content as it is set up by creatives for creatives and none profits
