I disagree with you in my area the council have just fitted new upvc doors to all there houses, this tool is designed to make your life easier, I have done there doors for years without this tool, for me it makes my life on site quicker and easier.
It was just to show you what I have been up to. if a job only takes 10 minutes then it shows how skilled you are to get a job done in a short amount of time, therefore being worth more than someone who doesn't and spend 2 hours doing the same job and charging more because they have been there 2 hours, never penalize a person for being good at what they do.
Normally, a failed gearbox would suggest the key still turns, but it can't open, I had one to 6 it bent the rail inside the lock case, that's how strong it can be.
This one is for rollers, but not say the spreader won't give you enough space to attack a failed hook because it will, so you could use it on hooks as a spreader.
It is designed for failed mechanisms, not to break in, but if you are in Europe and your windows open in, you could use it with the new door spreader kit.
I guarantee the other one would have worked with an elastic band around it and just need to experiment on how many times you wrap it around the pick to get the tension right, but yes HPC rocks.
That wasn't the key for the lock it was a generic keys for patio door, it was to see if I was lucky or not, plus the customer wanted to make sure the lock wouldn't lock again.
Did the re-locker particularly fire or did bolt not fully retract or was it a foreign body that got in somewhere, I had a problem with opening one of these due to combination slipping due to slop and wheel float.
@@ActiveLockCentre It looked it! I'm into LockSport but would have loved to do locksmithing as a career if i had the chance. I'm disabled now, unfortunately but it still interests me very much!
Sorry for your disability, I nearly had the same experience after I lost my wrist in a mountain bike accident. It's good to have an interest, and I hope my content gives you aspiration 👍
Just found your channel and subscribed. Im really starting to kick myself for not getting more involved in the locksport community. Ive been watching on the sidelines and learning a ton but just recently started to contribute. Great content Sir.

I love the fact that it's not just me getting the top floor flat, I always take everything, as the times I try and take just the tools I need, and then have to go back to the van as I forgot something, its not worth it 😂
