The Rolling Stones' "Start Me Up" had a similar opening riff; so similar, that while the band first recorded the track for their 1978 album Some Girls, Keith Richards asked engineer Chris Kimsey to shelve it due to the opening riff's similarity to "Thunder Island."

A great example of when the soundtrack is way better than the movie. I first bought dookie in the 90s in 7th grade. Been a GD fan since (that’s 29-30 years). This is the best version of this song and my favorite by them.
