Love love love these cigars….. these (and Trinidad Reyes) were my Autumn morning cigars when they were affordable (before the 100% price hike here in the U.K. they were about £18 each, now they’re closer to £40)! I bought many boxes of 10 (and a few boxes of 25) when they were available and affordable! Now I won’t buy them purely out of principle…. There’s no justification for doubling the price practically overnight…. For an extra couple of £’s I can buy a larger Cuban cigar like the Partagas P2, H Upmann magnum 50 or Montecristo Edmundo (where I live they’re around £44 each)….. Cuban robustos/ hermosa no.4’s are around £30 each, petite coronas around £20, perlas (slightly smaller than the secretos) around £15….. it’s a shame because the cohiba secretos is an amazing little cigar

Funny. I went into my local lounge looking for the brûlée but all they had was the blue! Didn’t buy it because I didn’t know what it was! I’m going back!
I'm no expert but I know what I like and Gurkha's Prize Fighter is one of the best low priced cigars I've tried. And by tried I mean I've gone through about 4 bundles of them in various sizes. I don't know much about the higher priced ones, but I did get the Orange Sampler with all their aged ones so I might have a different perspective after trying them.
I am a flight attendant on a German charter airline and have been flying to Cuba for many years.The good cigars i brought back easily and bought at the factories for way cheaper as in Europe are all gone. Prices insane. Your video info here is top notch
I'm 51 never smoked. Me and wife shared our 1st cigar the other day. For our anniversary. A women at the bar picked it and told me how. It was very pleasant I'd admit. And gave me a tiny feel good buzz like... we both will.do it again on special occasions. We can't get Cubans here.. Have you all.heard of dipping your cigar lightly in tequila?
I stopped buying cohiba when I discovered Trinidad all those years ago! I may revisit cohiba now they’ve become a ‘luxury’ cigar…. Maybe the quality control is better! For every good cohiba I had, I had maybe 5 crap ones (flavourless or plugged…. And yes, I’m buying them from reputable stores here in the U.K….. they were all EMS from H&F)! The only ones that never let me down were the Maduro 5 range…. The secretos is just amazing, so is the magicos and genios….. but the secretos was my favourite autumn morning cigar! In terms of consistency regarding quality, flavour etc…. I’ve never been let down ever by Bolivar, H Upmann, RyJ, partagas, juan Lopez, Ramon allones or recent montecristos (post 2012 they seemed more consistent quality ways)… the ERDM choix supreme is one of my all time favourite cigars…. The cigars I’ve bought more boxes of than any were: *Bolivar BF’s (in SLB), royal coronas, petite coronas and corona juniors…. *h Upmann connoisseur no.1, magnum 46, magnum 50 *ramone allones SS *juan Lopez no.2 *montecristo especial no.2 (amazing cigar), edumundo both better than cohiba’s similar cigars (corona especial & siglo 6)…. Oh and the petite Edmundo *partagas p2, d4, shorts *RyJ short churchills, Churchills, cazadores *cohiba maduro 5 secretos and genios Never had too many punch cigars…. HDM cigars never clicked with me!
The Rocky Patel 2nd Issue is a really fantastic cigar if you ever get the chance to try it. I know most of R.P.'s offerings aren't looked at too highly but you'd throwing the baby out with the bath water if you didn't give that one a try.
I try the fresh new box from 2023, then I try the box been aged (not properly) by the father of my friend that sit in the normal box for maybe nearly 10 years. It’s huge difs, no harsh, no any bitterness eventhough I smoke it too much so it hot like lava, very mild and comfortable experience (but the flavor profile is normal)
That is a big cigar. I smoked a good chunk of one over the weekend. I had a hangover till about 5pm the next day. I had a soda, food, and water with it.
Missing Ashton which would be at least A, maybe S for me. Also La Aroma De Cuba. Another A or S. I think Davidoff is very overhyped prob would be a B for me. Arturo Fuente and Padron easily S.
I tried very few cuban cigars, but the price is f*** ridiculous, now I smoke cheap and sublime dominican cigars and italian cigars, at last it depends on the taste of a person.
You girls are a little overdramatic. Its sweet, its infused, its popular to crap on this cigar... we get it. In reality, its a good cigar. Well made, burns well, good draw, good amount of smoke, pleasant sweetness, nice aroma. What is so bad about all that, that people need to virtue signal so much?
I just came back from Canada and after paying $60 CA, bought a cohiba siglo. It was a petite corona. The first thing I'm going to say is the flavor was terrible. It tasted like rotted eggs. Maybe that's the "cuban twang" I don't know, but I didn't care for it. The other thing is, the cigar construction was horrible! The thing fell apart once the band was gone. I smoked a 1964 Padron Presidente a day or so before, and I'll say that cigar blew the cuban out of the water. The flavor was amazing and complex and rich! Construction was impeccable and to top it off, I paid $25 dollars for that stick. Sorry, but Cuban cigars, in my book, are mostly hype. If they ever were good, they aren't anymore.
Hey brother, it's been said that you should not mix bare (uncovered) cigars together. The flavor becomes muttiled together and they lose their original tasted and flavor. FYI
Padrón on top is undoubtedly correct. The Family Reserve (most especially 96 natural and 46 Years natural) are blissful. However, I would enjoy more pepper.
Out of hundreds of H. Upmann cigars I purchased three out of five were plugged, while Partagas tasted wonderful, the burn was horrendous. Out of the hundreds of Padrón I have purchased they taste and burn wonderfully. When it comes to $100+ punches versus $30-$$35 purchases, I will stick to Padrón. Well-constructed, powerful flavor bombs.
