I figured someone would end up doing a strat that used the DNA strands… and I’m not surprised it ended up being scrap. I did not know you could go through the bottom of that platform either, that would’ve made it easier when I was trying to go for the trick goal myself
To be fair this is nowhere near the intended strategy for getting this goal, and the goal itself is an optional harder goal and not the normal one. I'd definitely give Stardust a try sometime, it's got really creative level design.
Very cool. Do you think this technique could get even faster with boosting via the starting platform walls? It would be a lot harder though because you lose the precision cycling by just holding straight
I don't claim to know nearly as much about the physics of this game like the other ILers do, but I imagine wall boosting for a faster start would result in getting hit closer to the center of the comb, which rotates slower and would result in a slower hit which would lose time.
Just played this game for the first time ever, and wow what a piece of garbage. Especially this whole blue coin thing. Smash Bros. did a great job of paying homage to Sunshine as if it wasn't a rushed mess.
