In this channel, I cook and share recipes. Mostly, I cook Asian and Western. I used to work in a commercial kitchen for many years during college cooking mainly soups. I am not a professional chef. I'm a foodie with kitchen knives with a pantry full of spices. With my Korean heritage, I do tend to cook more Korean dishes but I cook everything else too. Good food from every culture is beautiful. I also fish, forage, hunt and tend to cook those ingredients in interesting ways.
I just made this (had to replace or leave away a few ingredients), and it was sooo delicious!! The eggplant had such an interesting acidity, I think it was maybe the black vinegar? That harmonized so well with the sweetness and the roasting flavors. I used black vinegar before, but it never tasted like this, and I actually dislike the smell.
Eggplant came to the earth to save us from the avocado. Look at an avocado with its dark green pockmarked skin. See how it turns an ugly brown very quickly when cut. This is an evil alien being. Only the eggplant can save us with its smooth, purple shiny skin and delicious taste. We are an army of youth fighting for standards of truth----come join us in our battle.
You can't get shaoxing wine in Norway because it has a 12% alcohol content, and wine is only sold in state run monopoly stores :( I'm for this, but it makes cooking Chinese food very challenging, ha ha ha
I won't even watch it. F eggplant. I eat everything. F eggplant. You can't put enough salsa, cheese, OR ketchup on that waste of water to make me consider doing anything with it other than ridiculing it. F eggplant. Love your channel! Nice color and definition on the food porn. 👍
I made these noodles! I didn’t use gochugaru bc I don’t have that and I substituted it for regular chili flakes only I added 1/2 the amount requested and I didn’t add capsicum extract bc I also didn’t have that BUT the flavor was SOOOO GOOD u guys have to try this before judging the recipe. It tastes really really good and it’s very spicy!
Sarap ang fried eggplants 'pagkakain lagyan ng bagong at kaunting suka sarap yan sa kanin. Nagutum na naman ako. Diyos ko - tulungan nyo po akong makatulug na. SALAMAT po l❤
Thank you so much for this video, especially for the "garlic sauce": many recipes include some version of it, but I think I'll be using yours as my reference :)
It tastes exactly like the original but too sweet and there is more chilli flakes or gochujang flavor (sweetness may be caused by substituting brown sugar with white). Highly suggest adding peanut butter. Here is the list of products i've used and their brands: -gochujang and soy sauce (senpio) -oyster sauce (lee kum kee) -rice wine (marukin shin mirin)
