Great street balance with that 327. The big blocks get all the glory because that's what kicked ass on track but, never undercut the raw ability of a tight high winding small block.
Sounds good..I allways liked the rambler...they were allways the under dog..had to of them at our drag strip ..on a regular basis..one was herman lewis racing..and the other one was called the under dog.had it on the trunk lid.with a picture of underdog..from the cartoon..both were famous..herman lewis racing was real famous .he ran everybody.especially in gruge races..he's cars in the muscle car museum in Tennessee
Drove a 67 Coupe and that was it for me, I had to have it with the L79. Hard to imagine now that car was my daily driver. It was dependable, fun to drive and not to bad on fuel consumption, if ya could keep your foot out of it which was next to impossible, lol. Thanks for the Vid, brought back a flood of memories and that old familiar sound was exact.
I aquired one that could be it's twin. I got mine down in Vancouver WA, and it too was converted by some entity, maybe a dealer. Mine has the L20b, and didn't have a 5 speed, still the stock 4 speed. Mine was missing the transfer case (Probably a dana 20) and I installed a T-100 Datsun T case. Mine is white, too. Many similarities to this one.
I saw your Vintage Tin Classics & Corvette channel, And your channel content is very good. But video views are not good. Your channel has some issues due to which your videos are not getting good views. The main problem is SEO.
This car is built better than any new Mercedes today you'll never hear one rattle the body is much different than the cars today that are built extremely similar to the Rolls-Royce that are built back then and yes these cars are coach built
What isn’t demonstrated: the front seats, if moved all the way up, allow the back rest to go down flush with the backseats. I owned a 63 rambler ambassador and that’s how they worked.
I went with my buddy back then to test drive one being sold privately. He was fish tailing all over. He said, Ed, I can’t buy this car cause I can’t drive it. While he may have been lacking in driving skill, it shows you what a beast that car was. He ended up with a Chevelle SS 396 with 375 HP. Every time he shifted it snapped my head back.
