Greetings, Curious Crew! Seven years ago, we made a daring decision to depart our Canadian 🇨🇦 home and embrace the vast wonders of the world 🌍. Having experienced life and raised our three daughters in Thailand 🇹🇭, Vietnam 🇻🇳, Indonesia 🇮🇩, and Sri Lanka 🇱🇰, we have finally chosen Mexico 🇲🇽 as our new abode.
Now, our mission is to extend a helping hand to fellow individuals and families who share the same aspirations of living this adventurous lifestyle. Through inspiration, valuable guidance, and personalized support, we aim to assist others in pursuing their relocation journey.
Thank you for being apart of this amazing adventure! #curiouscrew
Was nice Now it's more than the United States to live here. And the new government is very scary now. We're moving back to the United States. Be careful things have changed.
Great video Sean!! We leave on a 2 month trip tomorrow and totally feel that nomadic draw!! I love Mexico and I'm sure I'll be happy to return home. But we both really NEEDED this trip!! Keep up the good work and videos!!
@chennymann1590 Lot's to factor in there as there's no "best place" for everyone. If you talk to The Nomad Capitalist he'd say Malaysia might be your best bet. Send me an email sean@therelocationist.com
Looking for a short/long-term rental in the beach side town of Bucerias this upcoming winter? Check out Justin's website for prices and availability www.buceriasrentals.com
Did you disappear again? I used to watch all of your travel videos. You keep disappearing for weeks/months at a time. You can't retain an audience like that.
@marywilson5192 you're absolutely right, very difficult to retain with inconsistencies. But as long as the info is posted for people to find than that's what matters. Telling a family's ongoing travel story like before isn't my goal anymore.
Do you have any advice about home birth and obtaining a birth certificate? I'm a Canadian living in mexico and currently pregnant. We are hoping to have a successful home birth but I've heard it can make getting a birth certificate more complicated. Ant advice would be appreciated! Thanks.
Hey @shaunanewberry3412 Congrats on the upcoming arrival 👏There's definitely some steps involved when obtaining those documents but it's really dependant on the state you live in. We are in Nayarit which borders Jalisco and they are night n day when it comes to their bureaucracy. I imagine you are using a midwife which should know all the ins & outs. Ours was super helpful with everything especially the doctors notes etc as we don't vaccinate our kids so getting that certificate was important too.
Waldorf schools take kids at 6-7 years old. Rudolph Steiner did not believe in starting children earlier. Why is this school not following the teachings of Steiner?
@@therelocationistwe are gonna have to push our politicians in Mexico to end this travesty!!! You buy for pesos on the dollar then you sell as if you were in socal. Not going to happen for long! Next president is a huge anti gentrification cartel advocate. Enjoy while it lasts!!!
@stephaniesaldana8418 ya it would all have to come down to how much value you really think your child would be receiving. Compared to some international schools, Waldorf is quite affordable even some so called "green schools" come with hefty enrollment fees.
Great video thanks, fellow Canuck here from Nova Scotia and a 6 month snowbird, other than the humidity from June through October in PV seems ok, we get those crazy heatwaves and humidity in NS as well, as far as rainy season, last year we received more rain by far than PV, so could prob handle it.
@GaryChedore Thanks Gary, glad to have you aboard! I think you guys could handle it here too...no place has perfect weather so just gotta find that right mix of good and bad!
@osbornebay944 If you know where the main river running through town is, you'll find the market. The stalls all line the riverside every Sunday! You may find a few vendors try to swindle some higher pricing but I've found for the most part local prices 👍
Hey Sean! Thanks for this video! We had a videollamada with Aline in December. It was nice to show family and friends what it's all about. Excited for our 3 year old daughter to attend once we move down there full-time from our current home in Invermere, BC. Our Mexico house is currently being built in the Campomar development, a few KM’s up Estaciones in the countryside, and we’re eager to make the move once it’s complete.
@andrewfrew3263 Hey guys thanks for watching! Glad it was somewhat helpful for you, sounds like you have a great set up waiting for you here. You aren't too far away from us as we love this "country" living too!!
Hello! We love your video and excited to keep seeing your videos. How was getting enrolled into education for your children? We’re a family of 4 planning to move to Puerto Vallarta.
@millitaitano9744 That's awesome where are you guys from? We homeschool our kids but many expats do enroll into the education system here especially for the Spanish aspect! I put out a video recently about the Waldorf school here...which may be of interest to you. Let me know if there's anything I can assist you guys with 🙏
Hi Sean , Cathy here from England . I’ve changed my handle . 😊 From what I know about you , Jazzy and the kids , I think Waldorf education is right up your street and you will be happy with it as an educational system.
@Infinitepossibilitiesat56plus hi Cathy! Right now homeschooling works best for us, but always good for any family to know all their options with relocating their kids abroad!
I always appreciated the way you guys were different about sharing your children, you didn’t exploit their every private moment and experience. I enjoyed seeing all of you as a family, you have opened my eyes about travel & givin me the courage explore parts of the world that I had previously turned my nose up to because of gossip, fear or perhaps just the unknown. All that being said, I have nothing but respect for the choice you have made, they will be missed, but their privacy is priceless. Best of luck Murphy family ❤️
@ambulancegirl77 Thank you for understanding, I think most parents can see where we are coming from with this decision. Maybe your exploring will bring you down to Mexico at some point 🇲🇽 🌶️ 😊
There are Americans who say that the United States is a first world country. I don't smoke cocaine. But Philadelphia is a disaster. and Los Angeles california. San Francisco. bent over in the street asleep. drugged they can live the American dream. as long as they don't wake up. trump promises to make america great again. while others eating sausages.
Hi Gordie, like your perspective on expat realtors. Im having a personal experience with local agents here in Nicaragua. No licenses, no work ethics and boarder line "breech of duty". Must be a Latin American issue. They have no work ethics. Good luck.
Knowing your family...at a distance Shaun. I absolutely listen to these guys! Well done. You are digging deep. And giving us the true info!. Details! Most don't get it. Thanks for bringing it to us!!🎉
@jodimuse18 thanks Jodi 😊 Everything I share or discuss are things we dealt with ourselves or had questions about too. Why not help people sidestep a few hurdles on their journey abroad!
