It's one of my favorite places to hang out. Absolutely beautiful homes. I toured a few of the townhomes when I was there, just a bit too pricey for me.
NACA is a great program for those that are patient and want to purchase a home. However, the CEO micro manages, refuses to pay staff fairly and does not give them pay increases. I use to work for NACA and still speak to some previous co-workers. Those co-workers have shared they have still not received an increase to their salary which is well below the national average for the position. The underwriting department, (titled Mortgage Specialist) have not had a pay increase in over 6 years not even a cost-of-living adjustment. There is not a bonus program either like there is for the counselors. The staff is over worked and more than under appreciated.
I hate going to Waldorf it’s a one way in and one way out town. Waldorf has a lot of shops, but if an accident occurs you can be stuck for multiple hours trying to leave. It’s a hard pass for me.
Lived here for almost 20 years. Wish I could move out of Waldorf. Please don't forget to tell how horrible the traffic is here. Unless you are going to just stay in Waldorf and don't travel outside Waldorf. You will be ok but the traffic is no joke.
NACA is a great program. It takes a long time to get through and lots of effort but it's worth it. My daughter bought her home with NACA and her interest rate was under 1%. I'm glad to hear NACA is still around.
I live near church road, and while I love the houses, I never considered it a gated community, though I always drive through it. Sometimes what's too familiar is not revered.
I considered a gated community in Maryland since my wife is from Maryland, but the home styles are so dated to me. I would certainly have to build to my liking.
This is so true! I’ve never seen older homes in my life! Even when you go to Columbia (Howard county). The homes there are so old you wouldn’t believe it and the materials they build with are so odd!
it's important to see videos like these bc the news will have people thinking Prince George's County is all one sort of way. There is a lot of opportunity and abundance to be enjoyed in this area.
Toll Brothers' homes are absolutely amazing at Oak Creek. I looked at these well over 5 to 7 years or more ago. They also have a gated community in Upper Marlboro, which has horses/ranches, amenities, and all.
Actually no. There are a few smaller ones a lot of people don’t know that Fairwood has a gated section. And 1 brand new one in development in Bowie called Soleil off of Laurel Bowie Rd. We just highlighted the popular ones.
This is for folks with the coins of course I live in Upper Marlboro by the Amish Market and thought are homes are nice the neighborhood sucks and they do nothing about it. We pay HOA for nothing we don't even have a club house to use.
I would like information on rehabilitation of my current home. We need help finding funds to fix much needed repairs. I’m in Florida, coming up on 3 yrs and having financial difficulties due to taxes, insurance, pim,and mortgage payments rising. We have fha 3% bad credit, and need vital repairs such as roof, ac, plumbing, bathrooms, kitchen, or we may have to sell. Does naca help?
NACA Has the NACA home Save program which is for people who currently own a home. The link is below. www.naca.com/homesave/ However if you shoot an email at info@thedapogroup.com we connect in detail to see if that the right program for you. I don’t want you to have to disclose anymore personal details here. We can talk off side and get you the support you need.
Yes! There are a few stackable programs & grants in MD with NACA and outside of it. If you email us at info@thedapogroup.com I’ll shoot you the list and few lenders that you can connect with. And also in your email let me know we’re talking in the comments because we get a lot emails. Lol 😆
I don't understand Kings Isle Estates as a gated community, a person can simply bypass the gate, climb up the mound and walk right into the community. The houses are gorgeous and the lot size massive but help me understand this. I love your show.
