What’s even more ironic about the guy trying to cut the shoulder is that Route 8 itself is going through major changes right now such as the ongoing switch to mile-based exits and the construction we’ve been getting on that freeway. I mean, if you’re gonna try and cut the line like that, Route 8 is not such a smart idea to do it in right now.
That 7th one is likelier Texas because of the bolder letters and numbers. I have a co-worker that drives with a Texas license plate which is how I know the difference.
Given Route 8’s speed limit south of Naugatuck is mostly 55 (including the part of Shelton this took place in), that other vehicle definitely was going way too fast to begin with. The vehicle that stuck out to me however was the one on the shoulder. Did they have their hazard lights on by any chance? I feel like they should when they are pulled over like that to warn other vehicles of their presence, but I’ve been wrong before.
No hazard lights, no cones, no flare. Kicker is that exit you see in video has gas station right off ramp. 10 minute walk and could have them call for trooper or GEICO so that they could safely (or just more safely) check issue. Cloudy day was messing with GPS speed so not completely accurate. The video I'm uploading for Sept 2nd has GPS speed matching speedometer. You will see, it is pretty standard to have over 30 people doing 80+ on that stretch every hour (video has 9 in a 7 minute stretch). CT Troopers would pad the budget so much if they just sent two cars to patrol this stretch during non-rush hour times. But, they never do.
@@A-holeCTDrivers Ah, the Old Stratford Road exit? I never get off that exit, but I know which one you’re talking about because MTA substitute bus service on the Waterbury branch uses this road. It has that one office building looking thing on the other side of the highway from that gas station. So yeah, that’s enough information for me to completely agree with what you’re saying. As for people going 80+, Yep, very common as well no matter what part of CT you’re in. I had one Uber driver do 79 in a 55 down the Route 7 connector in Norwalk. It’s only when there’s construction that speed limits are more likely to be enforced. I-84 would probably be even worse if there were less cops patrolling the interstate.

I said "I have two more videos Southbound" - Meaning I have two more videos of weaving bikes racing down the same exact area with no plates. Just those two were going southbound. I just could not find them before I compiled that video. I'm sure they are posted.
I'm not doing this channel to get likes or followers. Nor to hear from trolls that have no idea what they are talking about. I'm only doing this to expose that lack of police presence thank to the woke agenda in this state that is leading to this type of behavior constantly on the road. Which is also leading this state, which requires mandatory auto insurance, to have the highest increases. They just called off a expensive investigation of racism of the police that turned up nothing. All because the alt-left morons that rule this state didn't like the fact that their voters are all criminals, and getting the most tickets. All it did was to demoralize police and give those tools taking point to try and push through legislation that keeps the criminals on the road.

Let me make one without the last two sections with me venting. Then send private link. Basically, you can see an entrance ramp zipper merge, but they crossed into my blind spot as I was merging. No hit or damage, but drama from them even though they did something illegal in CT. Police here just went through an unnecessary investigation that found nothing. Political party in charge has been demonizing, demoralizing, and attempting to defund police here for years. So my only hope is that their insurance picks up on this and raises their rates, because police so understaffed that they won't follow up on this since no collision happened. Question: Do you want me to drop all commentary so you can do with it what you want?

There have been a ton of accidents recently making state news, yet no additional patrols. Even when the POS governor said patrols would be stepped up.
