1:33 Technically, Batman tried to save him from falling and the accident didn't scar Joker's face, it bleached his skin white, turns his lips red and dyed his hair green. And the doctor who operated on his face told him the nerves in his mouth were completely severed, giving him a permanent smile.

Wow, this is what the WB logo looked like in the U.S trailer? I saw it on the actual movie, and it was a HUGE letdown. Why, Warner Brothers?! Just why?!
you got to respect technology....frozen eternally, Siskel lack of insights and ineptitude to override preconceived ideas. A moralistic posture about violence makes it impossible for him to value when .its depicted in movies. He was a horrible critic and would have made the world's worst detective
Down, boy. I think Gene had a crush on Leo -- just like he had a crush on John Travolta (enough to buy his outfit from Saturday Night Fever!). And calling Kate Winslet "flat" in the movie is as ridiculous as it gets. Methinks he had a problem with Kate because he was jealous.
Sorry to say that I had trouble following the plot. I find that sticking a rookie FBI agent (before she was a rookie...LOL) trying to dissect a brilliant psychopath like Hannibal is downright DUMB. Then...then this is just a MOVIE!!!
I was unaware of how this movie is connected to Romancing the Stone thru Bob Zemeckis. I have ranked my three funniest movie scenes of all time, with two now belonging to his films. The other was from a Mel Brooks film. Could it be Zemeckis wrote BOTH the famous “THE Joan Wilder?” scene from RTS AND the ending scene in Back to the Future where Biff is now working for Marty’s dad and polishing his car? If so I owe this man a huge round of applause.
Back to the future 2 was very creative. I first saw it in Hong Kong, and at the end, when Marty surprises Doc Brown and says "I'm back, back from the future," the audience collectively gasped at the remarkable creativity of the story. I wish the critics would notice how fun and creative films can be. Roger Ebert gets it here.
I dunno...I certainly think that the film conveyed the awe of these magnificent creatures. Remember that scene in which the Sam Neill character and the kids first see the Brontosaurus?? That was clearly awe-inspiring. I don't think Siskel and Ebert gave credit to Spielberg for that scene.
“They tried to make it more than a cute little animal movie.” Sums up perfectly why I’ve always loved it. It starts out cute and Disney like, then turns into a (less intense) horror movie. But still with comedic undertones
People get upset by the fictional story element of a shark holding a grudge, yet keep a straight face when describing the magical wizards of religions.
"these people" tend to be very dull". Are you kidding me?! There are many more true stories with serial killers having very high IQs that ones with low IQs, however terrible they may be. That is just an ignorant, ridiculous, statement. Seems like siskel just doesnt like really any movie that faces the darker sides of reality. Any movie that makes him unformfortable is "overdone" and "to dramatic" 😂 according to the oscars, this is one of the 3 best films ever made, and I very much agree. I also agree with One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest being up there with it as well, although It Happened One Night I'm not so sure about. Its a really good movie, but i wouldn't say its one of the best ever made.
This game needs to be remade and combine ROTM, WOTM, and Redemption gameplay mechanics and concepts from each game into a whole complete game and call it Terminator 3: The Definitive Edition. Atari can publish it and Teylon develop it.
Ebert says that the film was a shoo-in for the Best Art Direction Oscar. Surprisingly, the film ended up not even getting nominated. The Terminal got completely passed over during awards season that year. The only reason I could imagine is that the film came out during the summer, and it wasn't fresh enough in the memory during nomination time.
Hate to admit this, but I agree with Siskel & Ebert here. This movie was just plain awful. There isn’t one redeeming scene in the entire film! Absolutely one of the worst movies ever made!
