Lyrics: Angel - put sad wings around me now Protect me from this world of sin So that we can rise again Oh angel - we can find our way somehow Escaping from the world we're in To a place where we began And I know we'll find A better place and peace of mind Just tell me that it's all you want - for you and me Angel won't you set me free Angel remember how we'd chase the sun Then reaching for the stars at night As our lives had just begun When I close my eyes I hear your velvet wings and cry I'm waiting here with open arms - oh can't you see Angel shine your light on me Oh angel we'll meet once more - I'll pray When all my sins are washed away Hold me inside your wings and stay Oh, angel, take me far away Put sad wings around me now Angel take me far away Put sad wings around me now So that we can rise again
The audio feels kinda flat here, stretched out unnaturally, but that inspires me The gods live on once more, each time we tell a story with them. The story gets repeated again, and again, the gods live stretched out, flattened, and someday, that story isn't told again, that part of a gods life passes on, as if it was never lived This song is Hades coming to terms with the death of this story he lived through as he plays out just once more.
And now I don't know why She wouldn't say goodbye But then it seems that I Had seen it in her eyes And it might not be wise I'd still have to try With all the love I have inside I can't deny I just can't let it die 'Cause her heart's just like mine She holds her pain inside So if you ask me why She wouldn't say goodbye I know somewhere inside There is a special light Still shining bright And even on the darkest night She can't deny So if she's somewhere near me I hope to God she hears me There's no one else Could ever make me feel I'm so alive I hoped she'd never leave me Please God you must believe me I've searched the universe And found myself Within' her eyes
So...so sad. In my opinion it talks about a man who's grieving the death of his lover, who died in a fire. Hence, "Light is burning, as I am yearning", he is yearning her presence. We can hear so much pain in his voice, especially at 3:19. "Light is burning, as I am burning", he is consummed by his sadness as a tree is consummed by fire. Fire aslo represents passion and love suggesting the overpowering love he has, or had, for her. The repetitive use of "Habibi" (=arabic word for "my lover" or "my loved one"), leaves us with a tender and gentle impression of the love he had for her. " If only I'd forget you after one last dance" 4:36, he is here asking her one last dance he knows he'll never have; hoping that after it, he'll finally be able to heal. "But you're everywhere, yes you are. In every melody and in every little scar, Oh yes you are, you are love." 4:46 : He is absoluetly incapable of erasing her image from his mind, everything reminds him of her. From the love of music they shared together to his nasty scar that she always caressed tenderly. The words "you" and "love" are only know used, nearly at the end of the song, and it seems as if he is talking to her directly and forgeting about us. We're witnesses of last intimate moments that are (musically) the climax of the song. 5:18, From here it is just a loud cry, he is finally embracing his utter sadness, he gets lost in it. The emphasis on the last word " yearning" and the way he sings it just encapsulates the whole song. He is yearning for her and this sentiment seems to consume his very being, the sentiment lingers as the way Tamino sings the last word, as if he didn't want to let go of it, to finish this song, to say goodbye, to say farwell forever.
şu ana kadar dinlerken en çok etkilendiğim şarkıdır habibi. sözleriyle, tamino'nun sesiyle, müziğiyle, verdiği duyguyla kısacası her şeyiyle mükemmel bir şaheser...
Once upon a time long ago in the town of Charming there lived the most dangerous and most handsome of outlaws. Word is that his intelligence surpassed the most brutal of his enemies. He was loyal to those who stood with him and deadly to those who went against him. He was said to have bedded many women but only one in particular was most special to him and had his heart. He was a fierce defender of his brothers and loved his children most of all. They said he had a heart of gold but lost it. Some say he found it. His name was Jackson Teller
