Congratulations on your wonderful audio system, and thank you for sharing it with us. I had seen the episode where it was presented by Jason (Audiophile Junkie) and frankly your system seemed to me the most accomplished of those he had (and even has) presented. Feel free to post more clips 👌
Honest question: whenever I see hifi in Japan, it seems to always be tubes or Mark Levinson. Dies the ML sound more suited to tastes in that part of the world or is there some other attraction? I’m genuinely curious.
Awesome, thanks for sharing! I'm travelling 5 weeks through Japan in October, definitily will step by! 😊 ...one extraxsuitcsse for Japan record goodies!
I will look for the shop info. We were taxi'ed by the distributor so didnt pay attention to the location as we were chatting the whole time. When I find it I will put it in the description
Hi , An excellent system, whatever its total price, must be able to give you listening pleasure whatever the style of music you listen to and not necessarily perfect recordings! It is not uncommon to listen to a very disappointing High End system on recordings of average quality, and yet, on another much more modest system, the same recording sounds much much better ! Should we have two systems ? Not necessarily ! The listening room is a very very important element in its own right in the final result !
Million dollar system and it's got IsoAcoustics Orea footers installed precisely how the manufacturer says NOT to use them. Love the more money than time to read the manual enthusiasts/vendors.
Could you tell me more about those lights used to highlight your speakers ? I’ve seen them at audio shows but never thought to ask what they were . Thanks
None of it American made. Seeing the transrotor I imagine someone playing their Beatles 45,s on it. Somehow that doesn,t tally, does it? Okay just kidding .
Well, I tried the ultimate test and bought the lp always played by the head of FM acoustic, Manuel Huber: Ernest Ansermet rehearsing the symphony fantastique by Berlioz with his orchestra based in Geneva. This guy loves classical music and praises Ansermet for his rehearsal on the quest of perfection. Unfortunatly the rehearsal is quite better than the actual performance - which is ok, but nothing more. Now I would like adress the criticism of @OCDHIFIGuy. I think Manuel Huber wants sell the exhibited stuff as new - which is his right to do - therefore the signs. Of course these are no Stradivari - they were designed to be touched ;-). But the problem is the sound, not only of FM in our days. I played the same music on my rigg and my conclusion is : overprized by a factor between and 7. The performance at home was better at a fraction of the price. As long as Manuel Huber can sell his stuff, it is at least a good reason to employ people in Switzerland.
Döhmann Helix One Mk3, SUPATRAC Nighthawk, AIRTIGHT Opus 1, amps by Alieno, speakers Cessaro Zeta ZR3. I am very proud to have contributed to this insanely wonderful system - I've never heard anything like its power, control and breathtaking realism, drama and musical flow. Orchestral music especially was an extraordinary experience.
