I enjoyed playing as a hrothgal for a bit and I love viera, but I do tend to miss my matoyas hat. If nothing else I think contest prizes and things you get through paid methods really should be for all the races. I feel like with hrothgar and viera as a whole they wanted to stick to a certain vision of those races, but it’s hard to do when miqote and au’ra already wear some crazy hhats or have simple ear holes in hats, and even for some helms and things elezen and lalafell have hilarious triangles. It at least feels like they had a vision that these races wouldn’t put a lot on their heads forgetting how much of the community enjoys the glam aspect. As to character death I’m a bit ambivalent because it’d be silly just to off someone to meet some unnecessary quota. It’d also become rather formulaic if it happened all the time. Could just be that they need to build more bonds with some of the side characters or something, but it’s also going to come down to a personal perspective. I doubt everyone cared about all the previous losses, but there’s plenty who wished we had Moenbryda longer or were sad to see Papalymo go. I have a friend who still wishes we had Tesleen for longer in ShB. It’s also not like nobody dies in the world just characters we care about less and some are implied/happen off camera (ShB - sidequest where guy in Eulmore is looking for his songbird). That said with the trust system it’s probably easier to keep going with the current models, and I mean the trusts who you level up since you get story options for duty support. However would’ve been nice to have some new friends truly introduced this expac after feeling like we had a nice “see you later” with the scions already. Kind of hoping Erenville for example becomes a companion next expac when they can use him for one of the new jobs, but it’d be nice to have more than just him even though I imagine some of the scions will always cycle in n out. I suspect we’ll be doing research with Yshtola after how DT ended.

While I believe people shouldn't shy from killing off beloved/main characters simply out of fear of offending players/fans, I do believe it is horridly overdone. Taking your anime example, Meoni, I feel like there was a span of anime that not only abuse the Isekai concept but also the character death shock. I feel there are so many more shock factors than just killing someone off that could be utilized or, even closing out a character's role without needing a shock factor to motivate someone to enjoy the game. I've gotten to the point I find myself rolling my eyes every time a character dies (even some bad guys) sadly. T^T I want some spice but are we always going to beg for a character death to get us happy/bought in again? I also only found Haurche's death saddest because it wasn't just a single sacrifice for the bigger good but a sacrifice for the WoL themselves. Did it spur the story along? Yes, but it felt like something more at the end. Other deaths felt more like the 'big hero sacrificing for all, not just for one'. The headpiece/hair answer felt like a cop-out by Yoshi-P. I agree with you, Meoni! Why didn't they set it up for success in the first place for the coding? I'm a Viera main so I'm a bit jaded over it - ha. I did win a contest to get the cloud hair and can't wear it I realized (my fault for not paying attention) and I've held out to hope one day it would get fixed like some other hairstyles. I'm also really upset that they told us they'd make it so we could get more hairstyles and hats but I've yet to see it even in DT. Being able to wear the hats finally got me excited...then they made hats with visor items that now only the visor item shows up but still not the hat. It's annoying and frustrating. I guess my only benefit is that I hate 90% of the hats as is but the biggest killer? Not being able to wear helms as a tank main...

Hats on Vieras, I think that is a huge issue that needs to be addressed. I know that consume time, but come on 😊even new gear can not be used by viera ( as an example picto head lvl 90) I know this will take time but I hope they are still working on this issue reather than wait until 8.0
I've seen at least one amazing use of this by a JP designer who made them into the horizontal bars of custom 'windows'. They dyed them some medium dark brown and I didn't even realize that was what I was seeing in their spectacular office build until somebody mentioned the hideous cost to obtain that shot and I looked closer. We desperately need dyeable standalone horizontal bars so we don't have to rely on these gil drainers (although I do love that these glow!).
I was creating a she hill character and I was a little disappointed that no foot gear options for completely bare feet 🤷🏿♂️ I can understand small clothes being well ugly but necessary to maintain the e for everyone but feeeeeet more than a little disappointed there no booty slider it’s annoying to have to use the n2b bottoms to have a decent bum limitation on height as well I wanted to design a freren character she is short but the options and limitations are like blah my kitty is a short as she can be but she still looks tall on my screen I don’t like it it’s annoying I’m not a tech guy so I don’t understand I’m expecting a stellar blade crossover I kinda want to get into monster Hunter I just don’t have the time well you know what I have the time now I’m unemployed I never thought I would be so happy to be unemployed I finally have time to do things like farm and run the market board and craft and level everything to 100 maybe I’ll buy a large plot or ummm save for whatever housing they come up with I was looking at solution 9 like I’m expecting at least apartments
I honestly think had a thought that I’m endwalker our character would’ve died been immortalized and we would start like dawn trail having to make a new character our level and skills would carry over but we would start as a new character not the warriors of light but a regular adventurer
His voice lines are so iconic and fun, I legit think arcadian will be one of the most memorable raid series because of it. "SHE'S TAKEN ELECTROPE INTO HER BODY, AAAAAND UNLEASHED A NEW, FERAL SOULLLLLL!" (HIYAAAAAA!)
Going by how the "tournament" is 3 raids, then the 4th is a special person, we're going to get the competitors in M5 & 6, Champion in 7, then Possibly Metem as 8 in the Cruiserweight level. Then in Heavyweight level it'll be the same: Competitors in M9 & 10, Champion in 11, then the President in 12. It's pretty streamlined and consistent, but that's not a bad thing at all. I actually like it better this way. Also, I'd like to see Metem be like from the Lightweight division and the President to be from the Cruiserweight division, just like Eutrope is from the Heavyweight division, just to mix it up.
the whole hat thing is fkn stupid... how can they fk up so hard... one Modder did that stuff for free in their spare time, the fk is wrong with the devs?
i need a break from msq... i want more gameplay and less boring ass visual novel, cutscenes are often so undynamic it's time to move on from ffxi style cutscenes.. Invest in better tech if you wanna keep 14 going for 10 more years
I too desperately require the Solution Nine bell as a housing choice. But then again I also wanted the Feo Ul bell that summoned Feo Uls instead too...
