Im spanisgh but I live in Texas... til I back Europe soon. Im 54 years old, that means when I was a teenager there were a lot of this car model running the european roads. So strange on its designg but if we talk about quality and luxury Volvo cars were in the top of the mountain. I ever felt a high respect for this company.... but today..... Good video friend and like for you.
Sweet truck, My brother got lucky a couple of months ago, he got a really nice all 100% original, 46k miles 1978 F250 Lariat Camper Special 4x4 with the side storage box in the side of the bed. He's a contractor and owns his own company and the original owner needed a job done but didn't have the money, and he told my brother that he would give him the truck if he did the job, and my brother did the deal. The job took my brother's crew 5 hours and cost my brother right at $14k. So he got a steal of a deal on the truck. It's in awesome shape and runs like new.
Thanks for the comment. I understand music is subjective. For trucks, we typically choose country songs. What type of music do you think would be a great fit? Any specific suggestions? We always appreciate constructive thoughts.
This sold for $17k 2 years ago?? WOW! My 242 turbo is a concourse d'elegance museum piece compare to this car. It's still a rare example of a (relatively) clean brick!
Thank you for your comment! It's always fascinating to hear about different experiences with these classic Volvos. Indeed, the market can surprise us sometimes with its valuations, but regardless of the price tag, each of these cars holds a special place in the hearts of enthusiasts. Your 242 Turbo sounds like a true gem, and I'm sure it has its own unique story to tell. It's wonderful to see these vehicles preserved and cherished, no matter their condition or rarity. Having specialized in selling at least 25 Volvo 240 series, if you ever decide to sell it, bringatrailer.com is the place to list it. Keep enjoying your piece of automotive history!
@@rareclassiccarsforsale My 242 is irreplaceable (to me). It was my 1st car, and I turn 40 this year. I'll never sell it! haha But it's also not original anymore; I did a rotisserie restoration a few years ago and modified a few things.
Sounds very nice. My favorite things about a restoration is the undercarriage. Although, we didn't do that with this one, your's would be fun to check out. You should post a video and share it. @@Mastermindyoung14
I think it would be cool to completely customize one and do high end, all black leather with like a patterned cloth inserts with red stitching where a beaded edge would be.
That's cool to hear and thanks. Sold for $14,500 on 9/10/23, you can check out the auction here where it sold on Bring a Trailer: bringatrailer.com/listing/1993-nissan-pathfinder-7/
@@rareclassiccarsforsale Nice! I've actually decided to sell my 1995 blue pathfinder. It has 162K and in pretty good shape inside and out if you're interested. (I live in the Portland area). I was going to do a full restoration on it, paint and body work etc but I just don't have the time.
Thank you for the offer, but we're currently not pursuing any projects, especially those over 50k miles when miles still plays a big role in value on cars such as these. I suggest listing it for sale on bringatrailer.com, where we had success selling ours through auction. You'll likely find serious enthusiast buyers there. If you need any advice on listing it for a successful auction, feel free to reach out. I'm happy to assist. Additionally, if you need help with vehicle shipping, for the buyer, I'm available to assist at no charge.@@RealRyanDeLuca
Let's see now...if the "rivets" behind fuel filler cap and roll bar are for soft top, what are the rivets behind the windscreen for...? Does this guy know anything?
Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to watch my video and share your thoughts. I appreciate your keen observation! The rivets behind the windscreen are actually for the tonneau cover, providing a secure fit. It's always great to exchange information and learn from each other's experiences. If you have any more questions or insights, feel free to share! 😊🚗
Hey again! I appreciate your engagement with my video. Language can be a bit tricky sometimes, and I apologize if my use of 'RPMs' seemed confusing. It's always helpful to have discussions and learn from each other. If you have any insights or questions about the Shelby Cobra Replica, I'd be happy to chat more about it. Let's keep the conversation positive and enjoyable! 😊🚗
@@rareclassiccarsforsale language is NOT "tricky" when one has even a modicum of knowledge and your's, at best, is suspect. Oh crap, who am I kidding....you know nothing and add even less to the conversation.
Appreciate the comment and help. A few others have said the same as you. Any website to confirm this? And I love Johnny Cash's music. I try to sneak a little faith based music in there once in a while 😉
Actually good thing for out of country buyers. Cars exported to Europe and some other countries charge 20% import tax for vehicles less than 30 years old. If a car is 30+ years old, the import tax gets reduced to only 5%. But I know what you mean, many in the states prefer the 1965 on the titles. This one went to California and was registered successfully.
@@rareclassiccarsforsale wow that is cool ,I have the same one but it would need alot of work to fetch that much ,I gave $1900 for it a few years ago it has 156000 on it
@@mjrybread That still sounds like a great deal considering how rare these ones are becoming and they're now becoming that sweet spot as a classic collectable.
VIN PLATE? If so, looks to be a homemade one. I've seen many different variations and this one looks to be simply cut metal and someone used a VIN puncher, you can get online. But since these are all kit cars, they're rarely all consistent. I've seen better ones you can buy online that will say "VIN" then you punch your own.
Greetings from Costa Rica 🇨🇷 I bought exactly the same car, only mine is the brown version and it doesn't have a sunroof. It's my first car, drives like new and I truly love it. Shame you sold it, it was like brand new in the video. I also have a question for you. Do you know where to buy in the US the original floor mats? I keep looking on Ebay and I can't find them, so I thought to ask here.
Thank you. I buy and sell these. Was a great Pathfinder. Not sure where to get the floor mats other than like eBay, Craigslist.org or Enthusiest Facebook pages. Next best option is Weather Tech mats which are designed specifically for your vehicle. I use them in my personal cars; www.weathertech.com/nissan/1998/pathfinder/
I had one exactly like it in high school back in 1999 2002. Snow white and looked new. Of course they weren't near as expensive back then lol. Now im 40 and having midlife crisis looking for another one 😂
