Zoom produces a wide array of recording devices, including a line of portable "handy" recorders as well as multi-effects processors, effects pedals, drum machines and samplers. Over the past thirty years, the company has established a solid reputation as a manufacturer of innovative yet affordable products that are based on original microchip designs.
Founded in 1983 and based in Tokyo, Japan, the Zoom Corporation spent its first years helping other manufacturers develop sound generator LSI, rhythm machines and MIDI synchronizer systems.
In 2013, the third-generation H6 Handy Recorder was announced-a six-track recorder which offers a slew of advanced features, including a system of interchangeable input capsules that can be swapped out as easily as the lenses of a camera.
In the summer of 2013, Zoom North America was formed. The first product to be distributed by ZNA is the groundbreaking H6 Handy Recorder.
I don't know why Zoom doesn't promote the g1x four as amp modeling platform. As user I achived pretty similar sounds to the amps modelled in the multi fx (Bassman, Princeton, Super Reverb, Twin Reverb, Superlead, AC30, Matchless, Hiwatt, etc...). I connect it to a Tech21 Power Engine 60 and I love it. Recently I could play it side by side with a Boss nextone 40 and mine sounded way better and fuller. The only problem is that digitalizes every overdrive/distortion I put in front, but works amazing as a combo with a stock overdrive, reverb and another fx if wanted. Greetings.
As usual ... blah blah blah = we can read the instructions. What we want is to HEAR how each sound comes out on each setting. Play this thing to show us what it does ... you dont need to do any talking.
I have a zoom q4 had it for ten years still works like the day I got it , and a zoom q 8 in the box never used it , all my videos are made with a zoom q4 ,,
Hello, I'm having trouble copying files from the SD card of my Zoom H8. All the files have the same name, such as Mic12, but are organized into different folders, like F240714_008.zprj. Is this how it's supposed to be, or is there a setting to have each WAV file named differently according to the folder, similar to the Zoom H6?

I bought one. Like most new things version 1 is a bit clunky. Cant get it to work with Sound Forge 18 Pro which claims full 32 bit float support. Would like to see an update to the mix software allow insert of app eg Mic - vst effect - streaming app. Hopefully version 2 will be awesome.
Ok, bought two F2-BTs thinking I could pair them with the app together (because that would make sense, right). But now it's looking like maybe that's not possible. Can the app be paired with two F2-BTs? If not, is there another sort of work around?
Is there a way to insert software effects like compression or reverb into the stream? I've tried with a DAW but cant make it work. The routing would be Mic - UAC232 input - Daw/VST - Skype . Skype just picks up the unprocessed audio.
I currently run Linux Mint on my laptop. I also own a Zoom H4N. That unit works in Linux just fine and even shows up in Audacity. Problem is, the H4N is limited to 24-bit/96kHz. I need more. That's when I found the Zoom UAC-232 32-Bit Float USB-C Audio Interface. It records at 32-bit/192kHz. Sounds good to me. The question is will it work in Linux. Does anybody know?
Seriously zoom, its 2024 and you are STILL charging $40 for a $2 chip you could have EASILLY built into the device? Also, where's the android support? Real creators like open standards, get with the program.
How does this compare to the 48 ? i currently own this model and wanna get my hands over the 96 do they have the same soundset ? do they share the same effevts ? a clear differencce is the number of the pads and the ring being wireless any othe significant difference ?
I get crackling when usign the Zoom H8 as an audio interface into Ableton 12 on my Windows 11 machine. I've tried adjusting the buffer size, ranging from 64 to 1024, and I still get the crackle. I've tried different USB cables with the same result. The main reason I got the Zoom H8 was to use as an audio interface to record drums, but it's useless to me with all the crackling. I've updated the firmware and the driver, so as far as I can tell, I've exhausted all options in troubleshooting. Help?
So I'm trying to use this vocal processor for my online video calls (on discord), But i don't have any input from my microphone at all. So i pick up input on the vocal processor itself but not on discord. Does anybody know what could possibly be happening here?
