Absolutely phenomenal. It's a sad ballad. It's a weeper. The torment in his soul comes out in lamentful vocals Exquisite guitar with a lonely sound. In my mind I was transported to another space in time. I was mesmerized. Ty

Saw this band Autumn 1974 in the Locarno in Portsmouth (I was in my first term as a student there) - they were the support band for Osibisa. Very tight sound as I recall - very enjoyable

The mid 70's were a great time for bands playing this funky , jazzy soul with bands like Kokomo , Moon , Cado Belle , FBl and others gigging around on the pub , college circuit .

Too many men with connections and authority/influence must've been extremely jealous of David. Shame on them.

The worst is, that they persuaded David that he was not that big star that he really was

I can tell by his demeanor even when he became did they say that he had as a dementia some but you know what I noticed something who was he can he can answer every question smartly and you know what that's what people do to you when they see that you're sick they will label you with dementia even the doctors and screw you over

His wife took him for a ride and the daughter he didn't even get to raise the daughter he even said that I'm the biological father but I never knew her really in other words the mother took her and took half of his earnings and his producers robbed him to so he had left he filed for bankruptcy in Florida and he was left without too much but he started drinking more and more and he got sick they interviewed him

40 years ago, I was turned on to Captain beyond by a friend who was an excellent drummer and actually Jammed with Rhino and Lee Dorman(who I was listening to in 7th grade with Iron Butterfly, the sad tragedy of a band that shoulda been a contender, a somebody-but for a few of us wisened who know the Pkeasures of the Captain

They may not have made hits or been world famous or made it into the Bullshit Hall of Fame, but if you read the comments under every Captain Beyond video here, you'll see many intelligently-written comments like yours, all still raving what a great band this is. They may not have made it big, but they still live on in the minds of people who know music.
