The only difference is that the blade is supported by two ball link at the root while my model is that the whole tail grift is twisting supported by ball bearings and Horn is used to with slide control sleeve
I don't see how anyone thinks they can build a helicopter in their garage from scratch. These things must be precise and built with high quality material.
Great explanation and video. I had no idea that blades were held on like this! Obviously it’s due to vibration and other forces but is there a reason a solid bar isn’t incorporated to act as a failsafe? I just saw the 212 report and am a new OH-58 owner. My previous experience was on an AS350 and I wasn’t aware of this design feature. This video was really helpful. Thanks!
600N or 902? Love the shreiking howl this fan makes. The old 1950s movie Earth Vs. The Flying Saucers had a saucer sound effect just like the NOTAR howl. No wonder these MDs sound like an alien machine. Great stuff.
