I'm an MIT graduate with over twenty years of teaching experience in the greater Boston area. Math is by far my favorite subject, and this channel is dedicated to all you fellow math enthusiasts. Every 14π rotations of the Earth, I upload at least one new video featuring a super cool problem, puzzle, application or exploration.
I try to cover a wide variety of topics, including (but not limited to) arithmetic, geometry, algebra, number theory, probability, statistics, combinatorics, linear algebra, and calculus. I aim for various degrees of difficulty, from somewhat easy to extremely challenging. Regardless of your level, there's bound to be some videos here that will entertain, educate, and enlighten you! So, join me, and let's rise to the equation!
Gobble : Turkey Coo : Dove Hoot : Owl Honk : Goose Well done on Purple. Best I could come up with is "Things that run" because 3 of the 4 words were a clean fit.
Scoredle 1/6* 14,855 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 STAIN Well, time for a new starting word! I changed to STAIN a few months ago after my previous starting word, ROUTE, hit as the answer.
@@amber-F-7thank you. My challenge now is finding a starter that pairs well with my second guess of ROULE, or find two totally new starters. I like to have a word that starts with S, and I like to cover the traditional five vowels in my first two guesses. Maybe I will make a simple tweak and go with SATIN. That has not been the answer yet……..
@@mtarvon3577 hyena, pious drags in Y as well. I've tried all sorts but in the end come back to a random possible 1 and then Ultrahard - just seems to be the "proper" way to play
with Wordle you will break your streak unless you do some other things like logout, clear cache and delete data (I think). Depends on why you're doing it. I'm sure people use multiple devices or even play after knowing the answer. Sooner or later they must realise it's just a game
Wordle: BROME UNITY CLASH STAIN ------- Strands #223 “Toon time”, 10 Super hard mode turkey. Figured out the theme right away and saw FOGHORN, DAFFY, PORKY and BUGS, but finding spangram was tricky. Nice solve on Connections, especially the purple. Definitely KW! 🎉🎉🎉 Hope you get your well-deserved rest. The bird sounds were my first found category because I had just been discussing with someone how birds “say their names” in our local Native American languages.

Wordle 1,210 4/6 ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ witch 🟨🟨⬜⬜🟩 stray ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 dusty 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 gusty We've had musty. My son uses misty as his starting word every day and was thrilled to get a 2 that day. It wasn't that long ago. I considered busty and lusty, but I was not going to try those before the more sedate dusty and gusty! Strands #222 “Let's experiment” 🟡🔵🔵🔵 🔵🔵 Connections Puzzle #488 🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟪🟪🟪🟪 🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟦🟦🟦🟦 I think category order is harder to predict on days where everything is just synonyms. When you have a word trick category plus a pop culture category you can usually get purple and blue first.
Scoredle 3/6 14,855 🟨🟨⬜⬜⬜ STAIN (388) ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ROULE (28) 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 GUSTY GUSTY came to me first, then MUSTY. Completely missed DUSTY,GUTSY. Went with my first thought and got it.

@@LadyAndreaRose Thanks! I like when I can think of the right word (that isn't in the category)! Of course, NYT doesn't care if we name the categories AT ALL, but we are determined to do it. 🙂
Strands #221 “Think about it” 🟡🔵🔵🔵 🔵🔵🔵 8. I got all of these quickly until the last - "cryptogram." I had the concept in mind, but couldn't think of the name. I had the idea for the blue early on, because my brother used to always say "rad." However, I didn't really know "ill" in this context. I also identified the movie category, but I didn't know "Her" and "Saw." Not my types of films. 2 miserable days in a row...GRRRRR!!!
WITCH YOURN GELDS GUSTY. I was planning to play SPEAL third but I recognized the -USTY trap and I wanted to test for GUSTY, LUSTY, and DUSTY. I figured BUSTY was too risque so that only left MUSTY if I missed on G, L, and D. ------------- Strands #222 “Let's experiment”, 10 Was on the right track at first but I was looking for SCIENCE or LABORATORY. Then I started thinking I was wrong but I found BEAKER, FLASK and PIPETTE on the left and THERMOMETER on the right. But I lost time trying to start the spangram with LAB instead of ending with it. First time I got the difficulty order for the sports connections.
