It sure did. Yeah, I got bumped around a lot at the beginning, some of my own doing. But switching to the Hot Race Bangkok tires was brilliant. It really hooked up once I did that. I need to get a set for my ETruggy now.
I remember this was at RCH Costa Mesa! I loved going there and running my Junior two and a Kyosho turbo optima I had. I met Brian Kinwald when he was racing there.
Good run. Truggy looked pretty good all race. I just got a eb48.4 for the outdoor season. Been out of racing for a year or more but looking forward to getting back out there. Still not outdoor season here but soon.
Thanks. I have the longer battery pack in there and it spreads out the weight better. I have a 48.4, too. Great car. Hope you have a good racing season!
Associated REALLY needs to do another batch of 91 World's cars imho ...come to think of it, a 10T repro (and maybe a GT, too?) would be SUPER, as well!!
I know right! Major bummer. That's racing. I have no one to blame but myself. I might have done better with different tires that gave me more traction.
Gil Losi & Gil Losi Jr. helped create the RC10 & then started there own business right after. If it was not for the Losi family the R/C car hobby certainly would not be or have what we do today. All thanks to the backbone of our hobby, Team Losi.
Yeah. Anything can happen in racing. I had 3rd in the bag. This was the second of 2 back to back 10 minute Mains. It is hard to concentrate that long. Especially when I just turned 50 this week. But you have not seen the last of me in EBuggy.
Happy birthday. What batteries are you using for 10 min? I am just going to start building my sct410 and haven’t gotten any batteries for it yet. Don’t know what direction to go
I am a real fan of the GensAce Redline 6000mah 130c. They are light and will easily last 10 min. They last over a year without puffing as long as you storage charge them when you are done that day. For the EBuggy I like the 4cell shorty pack and move that weight as far forward as you can.
Hi Scott, just wondering if you could help me out I am about to build my first kit, got a sct410 2.0 if I plan to go to tracks like revelations or huckleberry like I believe you have been to, what recommendations do you have for tires and batteries? I’m going to be running a xr8 and 4300kv motor
Ah yes, 1989. I was running around with a clod buster and a lunchbox back then. Fast forward to today and it's still all about the off road bashers with my Arrma Kraton.
In a early 2000's a coworker/good friend gave me a mint RC-10 from the 80's, his dad was a college professor and bought a bunch of them and had his students build them and 6:35 race them. The one I was given was his dad's and it had never been run and the more I looked into it I'm pretty sure it was a first release car, unfortunately had money problems years ago and my lame ass sold it 🤦
Ha ha the right lyrics Here comes the rain again Falling on my HEAD like a memory Falling on my HEAD like a new emotion Your lyrics Here comes the rain again Falling on my HEART like a memory Falling on my HEART like a new emotion It works I guess!!!!
Hi Scott, great video!!. Do you mind sharing your car setup and tire of choice? What motor were you using? Thank you for any tippers. Have a blessed day.
This was first day driving my brand new Tekno ETrugyy and my first day racing on this track with this layout. All that considered, I think I did pretty well. When my wheel came off in the middle of lap 9, I was bummed. But I realized it was my own dumb fault, because I forgot to loctite the set screws on the pin holding on the hexes. That was what really flew off it was the pin. You have not seen the last of me with this truck. So much fun!
This race was very embarrassing for me. I am usually a better driver than this. Having watched it a few times I have come to realize my setup was completely wrong for the 44° cold temperature. I had 40 weight oil in my shocks when I should have had at most 30 weight. Also I had almost bald soft tires with a big pin pattern when I should have had super soft tires with a small pin pattern. Also my drag brake was set to 15%. Bad idea when the wheels stop spinning in the air on that big triple in the air and I cannot control it anymore with nose up or down. Those 3 changes would have helped me control my car tremendously better. You live and learn. 😊
As described by its manufacturer Tekno on their website it is also a 4wd Stadium Truck. I built and run the ET410.2 as a stadium truck and it makes far more sense like that then a silly truggy. The only thing that makes this car a truggy is the bulky wing assembly and that goofy body.
