@@cs61819 no holster; the single M4 mag pouch dimensions fit a Glock very well. There were some peak-GWOT holster inserts made for double M4 mag pouches but in the end everyone pretty much just stuck it in a pouch.
I’m sure it will all work just fine. Nice bonus to having some of the range finding gear on the gun is it’s not pressed in on your body for this particular usage.
How many rifles and setups do you go through and do you find it hard to be proficient enough across the board while using all of those varying platforms ?
its not "just putting more weight on the pistol" (7:09) its that the slide reciprocates freely. Also if weight didn't matter competition shooters wouldn't be adding all that weight I don't think. Still have one of those holsters lol ill trade you an alienware holster and some $$
@@______4790 balance matters more than weight…and the top benefit of frame mounted optics for those who shoot Open division is that the Optic doesn’t move, nothing about the slide “reciprocating freely”
hey brother, recently saw your video of the review on your roland special. Heard you bring up the g17 you did with a kmm comp. what was your overall opinion on the g17 with the comp? Thinking about doing the same with my G17. God bless and have a good one
G17 with KKM comp shot well; however it really needed a 13lb recoil spring to function properly and that spring rated replacement every 1000rds or so to ensure it stayed a 13lb spring and didn't eventually become an 11lb spring. I think the G45 with a full-size comp is the way to go if you want the best shooting G__ variant.
Why not stick with the reptilia mount? They seem to have caught us to badger as far as offset, anti cant and diving boards. Not to mention they seem to be more affordable and streamlined. Currently shopping for a razor gen 3 mount trying be different and not get a Geissele again
@@coyoteoaty4 I have a Reptilia mount on another rifle. This optic got a Badger to get the optic further forward. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LUwx2If72Q4.htmlsi=iCeuvG0Gu4o9XHtY
@@AmericanAdlerauge1775 yes you’re right about that still Nice work and keep it up, you have a new follower. It’s much more difficult to run and take shots like that than standing still, myself Ned to learn to shoot like that 😃
I know this was a long time ago, but i have a 1-10 in the same mount. Trying to see if the RMR clears the elevation turret without needed one of their risers. What does the sight picture look like behind that 1-10 setup? Thanks
I assume you're asking about the 1-8x optic in this case. Here, the optic is directly tied to the division. In most gas gun matches I'll be on 10-12x the majority of the time if I have a 3-18x optic. If the task is shoot 3MOA targets from 200-800yds the 3-18x and the like are the right choice.
@@gagehatesyou it’s just ok. If you want to know you can hit a C-zone at distance in a 3-gun match it’s good. But it’s not a true precision cartridge by any stretch.
@@parkerheath6964 Hodge barrel just reached an unacceptable level of accuracy after the round count/firing schedule it got. It happens. This is a SOLGW Combat V2 Barrel; light and handy but by no means a precision oriented barrel.
@@Michiganbreadboyz_bt8919 maybe 10k on this pistol. My gun is about four years before Ben Stoeger’s pistol was built. If I recall correctly his was just part of a batch with slide stops that had issues; not a systemic problem.
My aluminum frame P has been a great gun. 507 Comp, stippled grip, BC magwell. For a 2011 that has the build quality gun to gun that can be obtained by walking into a store and have in hand that day they are hard to beat.
I hear ya! All guns are fun but i know what you mean, my fun gun right now is Ruger American Ranch 7.62x39 gen 1.. has a lvpo. Not tactical by any means.
