The U.S. Mile Top Speed Racing Events is home of the The Texas Mile. We have been represented in every major automotive magazine, Speed TV, NBC Sports, Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Magazine, and other known automotive websites and social media pages.
The Texas Mile welcomes drivers of street legal sports cars, motorcycles, trucks, and concept race cars to test their top speeds on a 1-mile straight stretch of pavement. The events feature everyday people as amateur participants, novices, and professional racers alike who all share the need for speed- without fear of tickets or jail time and in a safe environment. Each event lasts for 3 days- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday averaging 500 runs per day. Events range in participation from 160-250 racers with up to an average of 3,000 spectators and online following reaching over 2 million.
I remember I went to a car show and this car was there and I remember reading about this I am not sure about this car but I think I read about this car in the newspaper and he goes this is the car very nice guy extremely friendly let me look at it I got to touch it it was amazing fantastic attitude and personality and that was quite a while ago and I still appreciate that he was a great guy

You have idea how much this touched my SOUL !!!!! I'VE WATCHED THIS AT LEAST 50 TIMES ! IN THE MOVIE FORD VS FERRARI KEN MILES TAKES HENRY FORD JR. FOR A RIDE ! REMEMBER THAT PART ? THAT IS HOW PROUD I FELT WATCHING THE FORD GT40 BUSTING 300 MPH !!!!!!
You guys should allow head to head races. The track seems super long enough to have 2 cars go head to head to see how can finish the fastest with the top MPH.
A friend of mine Paul vanderley who is gone now God bless his soul. Ran Bonneville for years. He was an engineer for Ford Chrysler and Chevrolet back in the day. It was before hurricane Katrina he told me this but I believe Chevrolet let him put it in the Wind Tunnel one of the NASCAR guys paid for it. And they found all kinds of parasite drag on the car. Completely changed the way the thing handled and ran at Bonneville pet. Paul vanderley is in the hot rod Hall of Fame. Wonderful man God Rest his soul
