I hate to say this...but the more I think about this film, the more it diminishes in my mind. The plot is STRIKINGLY BAD and I'm really thinking that we're all focusing on the shiny veneer, being the jokes, cameos and fan service, whilst when you assess the actual substance of the film, it's almost non-existent... I know that they basically advertised it as so, but I'm actually starting to lean towards the idea that they were just really lazy with the writing, and used "dumb fun" as an excuse, rather than a goal.
@@kiksta I can’t disagree that the plot was bad, but I I knew the plot would be nothing great going into this. People comparing this to Infinity War & Endgame are out of their minds as they’re completely different types of films. If I were to be really harsh maybe I’d give the film a 7.5, but it was good to finally see Disney and Marvel put something that was actually enjoyable. I would definitely say I liked this film more than Deadpool 2.
@@kiksta Really curious to see if this film can hit a billion after the first 2 failed to cross 800 Million. I think it’s fairly likely given the Opening Weekend Projections. Don’t think it will be the year’s highest grossing film however because of Inside Out 2.
@@deansal9222 It's absolutely gonna blow past $1 billion. The question will be if it can catch Inside Out 2. The second weekend will pretty much determine the legs.
@@deansal9222 The Deadpool films never had complex plots, they were fairly straight-forward but well-executed. It's true that no one goes into a Deadpool film for the plot, but man this film just didn't even try. It's completely held together by the performances, one-liners and action. And I just don't know how re-watchable this film will be, once the shock value is gone after the first viewing.
They definitely ended it with the intention of having a season 2, but I think there's no chance in hell it will be greenlit! As incompetent as Kathleen Kennedy is, even she isn't dumb enough to proceed with it. The viewership and reviews are horrendous, I just don't see it happening. I think they'll save face by constantly saying "maybe, we'll see". Just like Rian Johnson's trilogy...
That’ll actually make the show worst as there was never a fulfilling ending. A deceased Sol takes the fall for everything and Qimir is still very much alive and well. The end 🤦
Deansal, i totally respect your position. I humbly disagree.....we liked it, understanding that george Lucas sold it to disney and like EVERYTHING, it was bound to change and go off in different directions❤
@@deansal9222The reason why the sith want mae to kill those jedi specifically is because the unknown sith is mae and osha's white horned mother who's body was not amongst the dead after they tried to stop the jedi from taking the girl
Good review 👍 sounds like a solid film. I still can’t see myself going to see it in theatres, maybe once it’s on streaming? But yeah I’m like you in that I think Fury Road was VERY overrated. Which is why I have no interest in this one.
Fury Road was definitely overrated. This film’s action sequences were better in my opinion but overall I still found the film to be worse paced than Fury Road. Cinematography, Sound and Action were great. Story and pacing not so much.
Dude your ability to rattle off film history on the fly is impressive! I always thought I was pretty good at it, but you're definitely better, and quicker! Was cool to hear your quick thoughts on these movies too. I agree with a lot of them, but disagree with a few as well. Keep it up!
