Will, great flying, good to see. Could you give me a little more information on your receiver and ubec setup please. I have the same jet with a 120 fan but yet to get off the ground as I think I have over complicated things. Is that a 8 or 10 channel receiver? And is it connected to the ubec? This is what I need to understand. Do you have a separate battery for the receiver?
So I have the UBEC on a 3s 2200mah lipo. The UBEC has two power outputs one goes to my receiver in the bind/programming port and the other goes to my retract control module. I can make you a walk through video if you'd like. BTW thanks for the compliment ☺️
@@rcpilotwill will, thanks for your response, that is most kind. A walk through video would be awesome. I am using a AR10400T which requires two batteries but have had some issues with interference.
@s_cutt yeah I did do real flight after flying the Aeroscout and Viper 70mm for about 8 months. I wanna say I flew the Eflite F-16 70mm and Rafale 80mm too before I got RF simulator.
Good stuff man! How’s the nerves with flying that size bird? I have a punch of 90mm jets and I’ve always have the shacks for the maiden. I’ve been flying for maybe 5yrs now. Do the nerves go away with time? I’m less nervous than I was 2 yrs ago. That’s with 500-700 dollar planes. 😂
Yeah with time and more flights it goes away. Also you have to fly out of your comfort zone a little too at a point that puts a little nerves on you then do a little more each time. But maiden flights will always get you a little nervous. 😆
You’re killing me ! After seeing your vids of this plane ….iv been looking at this plane more and more …..its just outside my $ and skills Great flying !
great review. I want to use a spektrum 10 channels as3x/ safe rx, Iwas wondering if I can still use the stock board just for the gears and the wing sweep? and ail/ele/rud stabilized on my spektrum rx?
I'm pretty sure you can but with a 10 ch rx I would just do everything on the rx it's not hard to do. I have a setup video on my channel. I used the Freewing bluebox for lights and gear only.
Repetition is definitely key to enjoying these planes. I’ve only got 8 flights on my Flex Ventigue and find myself getting lower and lower doing stupid stuff 😂
I'm finding myself where I can cruise it at 50 percent throttle and getting 4 minutes on 6000mah. This jet can fit and is built for a 120mm edf but a 110 Jetfan is stronger and more efficient than a JP 120 according to paper that is.
"Can't fly the money anymore. It's already spent so you just enjoy it at this point". This is so true. The question is will you fly it like it's precious glass or cheap re-glue-able foam?
I did fly the 80mm Freewing L39 before and the 90mm Viper but they were both lighter only using one flight pack. My Freewing MiG-29 uses 2 packs. So the combination of the 3 jets helped. But the Aerofoam L-39 105mm is forgiving it's not something you want to yank and bank on you 1st few flights. Don't be nervous it flies gracefully. After Takeoff and you level out reduce your power and relax. When landing come in to final low and some power as needed. You'll do fine.
Great flights Will, congratulations. Check out my flights on my turbine version. Truly a great plane! A slightly rearward CG will allow you to get a good flare, you've got to get the mains down first or she'll be down for repairs. Great job.
