Hard to watch him now and understand how much people liked him? He was creepy and not even funny.... and he was not even lying ... I liked Jim'll fix it as a child but my mother wouldn't let me write ... then we left to live abroad in 1977 so never saw or heard about him till the news broke about his crimes...

I once dated a guy who shared with me that he was raped at a train station. He was 17, of course still a high school student…well, he went into the bathroom and a black guy followed him in, smacked off his glasses (he has bad vision),and tossed him into the bathroom and raped him. He described it as the worst pain he’s ever felt, the most fear he’s ever felt. He said he was too scared to scream so he laid there quietly as the guy violated him. He never reported the situation to the police. He told me he laid there for maybe 15 minutes after the guy left bc he was scared of him coming back. He found his glasses, and cleaned the blood off him and waited to board the next train to take him to school. I was afraid to talk as he recanted the experience. In fact, I felt terrified by the fear emanated off of him. I just sat there, a few feet away and just…barely shook my head up and down to nod.
He was a real dirtbag. He was two faced to Nash and to Launius. Just to get high. Known people like him. All that matters is drugs and that next high. Anything else is just side noise.
21% of heterosexual men and 44% of heterosexual women are abused by their partners. 29% of homosexuals, and 67% of lesbians report partner abuse. We need to speak up and against intimate partner abuse much more vocally and consistently. We should also teach our adolescents about the red flags in relationships and how abuse changes the victims and makes it difficult for them to leave an abusive partner.
This is why I believe prisoners should never have shared cells. There should also be risk assessments completed and housing safety measures. High risk offenders should not be housed with those at medium or low risk. We need prison separation based on offenses and severity of a crime. Education that rape and support available to inmates irregardless of the crime if this is rehabilitation we want them back in society to uphold laws no reoffend. If they are serving 25-years to life put them in their own individualized spaces. Give them access to humane facilities. Education. Medical. Therapy. Jobs. Food. Cleanliness. Visitation and ability to communicate with their support systems otherwise institutionalization is what we will get back time and time again. Prison officers that don’t give a damn about their job and protecting and serving need to not be there.
Trans surgery and hormone therapy should be criminal; unless a person has both male and female genitalia and a choice can be made as an adult! Normal children should be listened to, but told you are the gender you were born as period. Parents and Doctors are wrong to interfere with a child’s puberty and it should be criminal to do any surgery or give hormones to a child. Even an adult should be discouraged from getting radical surgery as we hear of many regrets!
Absolutely sickening this POS got out after only 4 years. How can that possibly be called justice or give satisfaction to the victim? I suspect if it had been the other way around he’d have got a lot more than 7.5 years.
I am beyond horrified that today you will not allow a child to get a tattoo but they can have puberty blocked and surgery ! Most young people go through a period of confusion, it's called being a teenager. Diagnosing gender dysphoria is very tricky and takes a long time. Working out of the person is truly dusphoric or Autogynepheliac (cross dressing without the desire for transition) or effeminate homosexual for me or butch homosexual for women. I knew as a child but I had to get my degree and a job and get an income. Family tragedy got in the way of each attempt at transition until I finally took the time at 38 ! I have never for one second regretted my decision although most of the 20+ surgeries were a disaster one way or another. I was lucky to not take hormones, I am now 68 and have lived alone for almost 20 years.
I don't think highly of Catholic churches, but I think that if a priest asks for something and a nun does it.. .... She ultimately made the choice to do so. She could have also chose to leave the church. Doesn't seem like rape to me. I'm sure those sickos probably did commit crimes as well though. But this is just a religious bashing just the same as they pursecute other religions. Do ourselves a favor and worship in ur own manner privately and leave these corrupt organizations or cults rather behind. Check out the definition of a cult in the dictionary...... All religious groups fall under it good or bad
