This channel will be dedicated to showing videos from hired nuisance pest control jobs that I perform. Video will be shoot using a combination of footage from an ATN 4k pro 5-20 scope, GoPro Hero7 Black and PhoneSkope mount on various different air guns.
This footage will depict animals being shot and killed in a legal manner to humanely euthanize nuisance and pest animals. Viewers should be advised to not watch this footage if they do not want to see animals being shot.
Good Luck trying to find the MCARBO Kit!....EVERYBODY is Out Of Stock and on Back Order. I don't know why?! This has been around a long time. Can't find anyone who has it is stock! Not even Ebay! It's like MCARBO stopped making and distributing them?!....Crazy!
Just got my 25 cal sidewinder and I already see that 15 rds aren't gonna cut it. lol but if you carry a high capacity mag what is the max fill per mag and can it be shot on full auto ? thxs
Thanks Dale. We are looking forward to many more rides. We are also wanting to try our hand at coyote calling on rides. We just need to figure out the best setup for gear, then away we will go.
No, not yet. I really want to. @brawler.1588 has one and is a good friend of mine. He sends me vids often, and they are amazing. I'm looking forward to the NV008SP2 from PARD. I think it is really going to compete well against the Zulus.
That's actually a great question, Sandy. So in the display while looking through the scope, I am actually seeing the yellow mark at the correct point of aim, but there is some sort of a software glitch that causes the yellow mark to show in the wrong spot on the recording. It seems like that only happens with the shots where I have to holdunder, but the longer shots with holdover seem to display correctly. I have actually spoken to one of the developers for PARD and informed them of this issue.
@petespesting That's weird mate, I've got the same and it doesn't do that. check if changing the reticle makes a difference in recording. Also have you updated the scope
I sent both of mine back. I switched and went with a PARD DS35 LRF and NV008S LRF and have been very pleased. Also check out the Arken Zulus, it might currently have the best NV picture.
There is no comparison. The PARD is much better quality. I highly recommend the PARD scopes. I have both the NV008S and the DS35 and love them. They work fantastic, have great quality and have given me zero issues in the past year.
I have 2 of these compressors and they rule! As a competitive shooter, airgun content creator, and airgun hunter I use my compressors A TON more than most people and these things can take a BEATING! When you do eventually do maintenance on it, you will see that the internals are FAR beefier than any other similar shoebox compressor. Very nice units! Thanks for sharing and for the mention, king!
I doubt you’ll get four years out of that thing but I’m sure it s a decent shoe box compressor they say the fan cooled stuff just doesn’t last but hey you never know
And that's exactly why I bought the 4yr warranty from Amazon. It cost 48bux and has a zero deductible. I live in the desert and do a lot of filling in the summer when it's 110 out. Keeping it cool will be a challenge, but amazon will be stuck replacing it for me.
The PARD has been my favorite NV scope so far. The battery life is pretty good (better than the wraith) and it takes flat top 18650 batteries so you can have a couple and just swap if needed. I get about 4 hours using the internal IR on the factory battery. The replacement batteries I bought are cheap and only get me about 3 hours run time.
@@petespesting Sweet! I'm about to head out here in a bit with a caller and a Lucky Duck decoy to see if I can call one in. If I do, time for the .30 Pcat hunter to shine! You'd think with a $4000 rifle setup that has a thermal optic and another 5K in NODs I would be pretty effective! Haha.... we'll see
It's absolutely mad how my results with hybrids are opposite, they are like a shotgun at every speed, the Zan were crap too Javelins, H&N & Knockouts were all sub moa out of 700mm superior.
That's crazy. The only thing I can think is the harmonics. Different moderator and barrel band or position will change all of that. I don't know if I could even get these back to that level of accuracy if I went back to 22cal with my Maverick.
I have messed around with a buddies Foxpro. I like the Lucky Duck better, but I think it's really personal preference. I think it really boils down to good sounds, and Predator University makes the best.
Got my x-sight 5 these days. Did you manage to connect it with your smartphone? I can connect the WiFi but the app still shows me "device disconnected". I can't watch live view, videos or photos. Has anybody the same issue?
Maybe im wrong but. It sounds like not waiting for air to go to second cylinder. . I wonder what thec2 regs set at. Good shooting. I have Crown ,Dreamline ,Streamline and Maveric in 25ca. Keep up good work
I just received my scope. Tried to input ballistic coefficient and it will not let me put 3 numbers to the right of the decimal. Any help would be appreciated. Tried .115 and scope goes straight to 1.10 when I hit ok to enter my.115?
From my past experience with the 4k Pro series, it needed to be input through the app. Unfortunately they still have not released the new app for the gen 5 scopes.
I’ve been thinking about heading up to Utah for some rock chuck shootin but where do you even go is there a map that tells you where you’ll find them haha
I can't help you with Rock Chucks in Utah. We have some permissions in Idaho that we go after them to help out some ranches. You just have to go to rocky areas and scout for them. Prairie dogs are much easier to find in Utah.
30cal air rifle making 100fpe with hollowpoint slugs. That going through his head at 53 yards ended him. If I shoot head shots. The nervous system has reactions like this. If I shot vital shots they usually hop off bleeding out.
Yeah I just bought a nv008s lrf it’s very nice for the price honestly I didn’t think you could get that kinda quality for that price range I did have to shim mine for windage and elevation they sell a mount called the zb lite pro but it’s very expensive and you can’t find it anywhere witch I find bizarre because it seems to be the only one like it with turrets like a traditional scope Eagle vision makes one but be careful because one of there models doesn’t fit the new nv008s only the older models they do have one that’s made for the “008s” but anywho I didn’t think before I bought mine I would be dealing with the crosshairs and the mount alinement but I did so I thought I’d help a fellow owner have fun when you get it all working it’s awesome
Yeah, I have heard that concern. That's one of the cool features with the DS35, it auto corrects the picture to put the reticle back in the middle. It also has a circle display instead of rectangle.
I actually have multiple videos up right now showing coyote hunting with both scopes. I'll try to put together a dedicated video on them in the coming weeks. They are performing awesome. The LRF is on point, and there was a new software update on the DS35 that fixed my only real complaint, now it zooms in 1x steps.
How’s the Pard compared to the X-Sight 5? Got my xsight 5 on Monday and already extremely frustrated with it lol. The reticle POI shift every time I power it on or activate the BC is a pain in the ass. It shifts down and to the right and only corrects once I’ve pressed the zoom button at least once. Image quality is decent at night but terrible during the day. I’m also having the soft focusing issue and no sound recording issue like you did. I feel like several of these issues can easily be fixed with a software update but who knows when that will be. Also, not having an app is a pain since I have to remove the SD card every time I want to transfer footage. Pretty much need tweezers to pull the sd card out of its slot lol. Honestly, after looking at the Pard I’m seriously considering returning my X-Sight 5 and getting the Pard instead
So far, they are well out performing the X-sight 5. The video quality is similar to the 4k Pro, the ballistic calculator seems to work better for airguns than the atn calculator. The compass and gyro work great and are easy to calibrate. The only negative I have so far it they only have base mag and 1 zoom which is double base mag. I do like continuous zoom better. The stock IR lights work amazing.
@@petespesting Nice! Does the OS run smoothly? The X-Sight 5 constantly freezes and requires me holding down the power button for 15 seconds to get it to restart. It also doesn’t register button presses well either. I find myself pressing the record button several times before it actually registers the command. Does the Pard Ds35 record in 2K or 1080? I read about the magnification being the base, a 2x, and then a PIP that you can activate by double pressing the top turret. Honestly, if the BC works well, the OS runs smoothly, and the video looks good I may make the switch.
I have not had the scopes freeze a single time. Resolution is 1920x1080 on the DS35. I like it better than the NV008s but they are both better than the Gen5 scopes were. I also had the same button issue on the gen5.
@@petespesting you sold me on the DS35 lol. Just got mine and I gotta say it is pretty impressive. The 1080 during the day looks way better than the 4k on the ATN does. Night vision is also excellent! Best part is, the Pard just works with no fuss!! 😂. The ATN does have some additional features that the Pard does not but they’re not worth the headache of all the issues the ATN currently has. Oh, and that circular display with the extra long eye relief on the Pard is definitely the cherry on top!!
Yup, if you listen closely on the 60fps setting you can hear me talking very faintly. It sounds like I'm 15 feet away from the scope, even though am actually on the scope talking. I have started the return process on both scopes for now. Also one of the scopes they sent me would freeze of I was recording and tried range finding during recording.
I tried recording in all resolution setting and none were good. They all are hard to find a good focus. Ultimately I have decided to send them both back to ATN.
@@JavisBoomTech I wish you better luck. ATN tried to convince me I got a bad unit, but getting 2 units both with the same issues sounds less like a bad unit and more like a bad product. Also one of mine would always freeze and require a hard reboot if I was recording and tried to use the LRF at the same time.
@@petespesting I’ll let you know how it goes with mine. Not a lot of reviews/videos on the X-Sight 5 so hard to tell if issues are widespread. I don’t see any firmware updates on their site for the new 5 either
It's pretty simple to set up. The hardest thing is the ballistic calculator. Once they release the app for the 5 series, then it will be even easier to setup.
@@petespesting thank you for getting back to me. I appreciate it just got mine and wasn’t sure how hard it was to set it up. I wonder when they’ll come out with the app for it
It seems to be a problem with the processor not being good enough to keep up with the 4k quality. As the frame rate increases, the quality goes downhill quickly.
