Oddly enough, if someone has a problem with Lolita it's always a man. Women are OK with it. This doesn't surprise me at all, but most would think that it would be the opposite.
I loved reading the book not long ago. I finished it wishing I had read it when forced into a Catholic school. I would have felt comforted knowing its contents & knowing I was not alone. Fear was a standard commodity while growing up, so I spent my adult years challenging myself to live for my desires and indulge for the better as I live my best life.

In fact one day I nearly started learning Latin I loaded up duolingo because I was bored and I was just looking through all of the languages they had and seeing what ones matched the ones I want to learn and I saw that they had Latin and I nearly clicked on it but beside it was Welsh and that got me thinking, I was like "Latin isn't really spoken nowadays aside from other Latin learners so how accurate would duolingo's Latin be... " And so I ended up choosing Welsh instead of Latin and now I've been studying Welsh for 6 days on duolingo and I'm having fun with it so I do eventually want to learn my own but sadly duo did not win that round!! (I typed this with speech-to-text so sorry for grammar/word mistakes)

i'm in the middle of reading this book, and can i just say that Madison's character is annoying the heck out of me😩 there are so many scenes where i'm just speechless because of how dumb her lines and decisions are?? like the scene where she was lured into the forest at 3 am, she still had the audacity to banter and joke about it, like....what?? she was also assulted into that forest but then after, boom, as if nothing happened😩 not to mention the ZERO SELF RESPECT BABES. THE BAR IS SET TO HELH SMH

I know this is a few years old now, but you don't have to utilise greater and lesser magic to consider yourself a Satanist. Magic is simply a tool and how you utilise it or not (or how you perceive it) is totally up to the individual. Some think there is a yet-unknown scientific explanation for GM, some think it's purely psychodrama, and some don't use it at all. I personally mainly see it as therapeutic psychodrama to make myself feel better, which ensures that even without my specific goal coming true, the ritual was still successful, since the priority is on psychodrama.
The way I see it the "devil" is just the human Want want as I meaning the erg to want to do things that are selfish greedy and hurtful not this entity that's trying to make you feel miserable and. sad
I'm so happy I watched this video. I really loved Red Queen and felt like it was a solid book but after starting Glass Sword, I got about 2 chapters in and I was so bored that I put it down for over a year. Recently, I picked it back up and got halfway through it but it has been an EXCRUTIATINGly boring journey. I've been trying to decide whether to finish the series but I'd rather not waste my time and instead I'm watching this video to cheat the rest of the way through 😂
I'm reading The Silver Swan by Amo Jones right now, and I got Twilight vibes, too! I don't "get" what the Elite Kings Club is, though. Are they vampires or werewolves or immortals, what? I don't mind spoilers, but I really want to understand Amo Jones's work.
My brother came to me and told me this was the best book he’s ever read and I got goosebumps inside. I immidiately felt nauseated - I have never read the book but he gave me a brief explanation of what it was about. 1 month later I found out he had been molesting my daughter in secret :( this was over three years ago. I keep coming back reading reviews over the years wondering if I should read this book but I fail every time with sick feelings of nausea and cry because I can’t help but wonder if this book helped facilitate delusional romanticized-thoughts that encouraged his sickness . I got my daughter help after and in doing so I put off my grief to be there for her and now that she is better I feel waves of despair and grief over what he did to her and also how blindsided I was . I had to put my own trauma from it on hold to protect my little girl. My brother was my best friend and I trusted him more than anyone on my life. He was a writer himself , a introvert and only after finding out what he did - was I able to put the pieces together about why he never had a girlfriend and all the lies he told that seemed true at the time. This book is something I have wanted to read to understand but I am just not ready. Thanks for reading.
So sorry for your story. I fully understand it. You need not worry yourself about this book, it is disturbing to anyone who has in real life experienced or seen abuse.

I really loved the book and Bishop and Madison's relationship... But sometimes the decisions and actions of Madi were so questionable.... Like girl, they scared and harassed you in the forest and he literally shoved you into the ground after tying your wrists up but you sleep with him afterwards...okay... Like that was super questionable 😭✋🏻

The thing about the Church of Satan and Satanism as a whole is that the whole thing was started in America to basically troll the Moral Majority and conservative Christians. I'm actually wondering what would happen should the Christian run food bank here receives a donation of food from Satanists, each marked with a sticker that says "A Gift From The Church of Satan" ...I have a feeling they'd just remove the stickers and put them in food parcels like anything else... unless it gets out to the local paper, where the local Christian spokesman would be quoted as "...well, we _are_ nondenominational and accept donations from across the community..." Especially as the sort of Chirstians that run food banks and homeless shelters are *not* the Christians that the Church of Satan are trolling.
Yeah, I got halfway through glass sword and I’m glad I stopped. I would have been so angry to read through to the end and see what happened to Maven. It’s so obvious from the beginning that he’s been damaged by his mother, who had driven Cal’s mother to suicide and broke the Skonos(?) woman and yet, in an age of redemption arcs galore, he had to die? He was a traumatized child and pretty much everything he did was orchestrated by his mother. But I guess people with trauma and mental illness are irredeemable?! And Cal and Mare are the worst ship ever. She’s plain awful and he’s a wet blanket and whenever he does show some personality, Mare punishes him for it. That ship is being piloted by rabid monkeys actively firing cannons into the hull.
LaVeyan Satanism is not dogmatic and does not force you to believe in all its precepts. Read, study it, and take what works for you. What LaVey intended with this, is to free the person's mind, nothing more.
