fast question got a problem with missing filltype l10 in crops all i put in map never had this happen to me before in game shows them on map pics of hubs shows up there just that error missing missing fill type l10 rice ect. ge looks great no errors this driving me nuts lol earcorn works great any idea whats going on thanks farmer bob
Yeah it us a thing lately, i believe (not 100% sure) but i heard Guants changed something and now there is this need for L10n mappings. So you will need to add your text for the fruit in L10n section of your moddesc or in the translations section of your maps language L10n files
@@FarmerBoBonRU-vid i add to moddec as new fruits maybe that will work in the xml filltypes i made L10 there and still didnt work but now on the map i click on rice shows planted on map stll that L10 missing filltype last thing i try is moddec add to see if that corrects it thank you farmer bob fo the information god bless 😬😬
@@petergate5783 you cannot have L10n in filltypes, it can only be in the moddesc or in a seperate L10n.xml file and you cant have it in both places, only 1 place.. :)

Hello, I have a question, do files such as PNG, Normal and Difuse need to be saved within the map folder? Another thing, I tried to add a texture to a random map, I took a map that had standard textures and did the procedure you taught, however, when applying the Layer, all the terrain on the map was set to the texture that I had added, I saved it and then opened the map again and this texture was still applied to the ground, I tried renaming the texture to some group that already existed, for example "asphalt05", I left it the settings that were already asphalt and applied, As soon as I applied the land it became "AnimalMuD", I saved it again and when I opened the land it was like AnimalMud, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong.
hi there, yes everything that is not from the fs22 game directory need to be in your map folders.. so if you want to add anything that you customised or changed in any way it needs to be in the map. always.. when changing a texture on an existing layer in the map it is strongly advisable to not do it in the editor but rather in notepad ++ by editing the map.i3d in there.. following my previous video procedure on this process here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4HlyHXzVXss.html Take note, any ground texture will normally have 4 diffuse files and 4 normal files, so changing a texture color requires 4 edited diffuses, (the normals you would generally leave as is), working with terrain texture is a tricky business and if you dont have texture skills it might be intimidating.. but the process generally will be to open the 4 diffuses (1 at a time) in paint.net and do your changes there, save as .png 32 bit, then convert each of them using Giants texture tool. (you have to do this step as the game will not recognize your custom diffuse as there is no software available to edit giants custom DX10 format.. hence using the texture tool, it converts your customized 32bit .png to their ridiculous format. Hope it helps :)

I just have one more question, within the game's landscaping the texture does not appear, only the base textures of the map continue to appear, however, within the Giants Editor everything is ok, is there another process I should do?

I doesn't seem to matter if your spline nodes connects with other spline nodes when you lay new ones. If you lay out the spline with the S instead of E you can just shift b and hold left mouse and move and press insert as you go as long as you hold left shift button active. When you drop left shift you have to use shift B again.
Hello Bob, so i have converted map and it looks great, but i got some issues on my way. So this is warning that i got "Foliage lod 1 mesh 'maize' 'green middle' 'harvestReady' is much larger than lod 0 mesh (min/maxY (-0.022/0.669 vs -0.017/0.479)." I got the same warning with meadow. And all the plasses there meadow was is now "maize" What should i do?
Ahhh seems you brought over custom fs19 crops.. jusr remove them all by rerouting all xml and relevant files to the fruit in the map.i3d to the fs22 $data folders and files. 😊

All good my friend, in the video i show how to add 1 logo, so just follow the same procedure open more logos, make them bit smller than in the video, then paste them all on the left and right side as i showed, then save so you have all the logos you want. There is no law on how many so put as many as the space allows on that diffuse. 😂

totally agree. this video is over a year old so ng so quick.. one has to always make sure you use the latest versions.. and keep ur mind sharp to juggle the changes in everything hehehehe.. but for sure the latest normally works best :) bless you
Hey! I hope you're doing well.. I have question. Is it possible that you move my 4x map in Fs22 to your 4x base map? I tried it with your tutorial but failed... That base map what I used has unfixable problems.. for example shadows aren't working, so I can't continue building without moving to another base map... thanks for anything..
oooohh that is a huge job my friend... hhehehe eish.. sorry i will not have time for such a big project now... im currently swamped to get Mars v.3 out to modhub, then im busy doing the map expansion series on Frickley, also a 4x map.. and im just 1 guy.. heheheh.. hope you understand.. :) but what base map did you use, cant you just fix it? are you sure its the base map causing the issues?

check your directory to the farmland info layer in the farmland.xml as well as make sure your map.xml has the correct directory to your maps farmland.xml

Yeah man, I’m with you. I’m still in shock. They spent 3 years on 1 new mechanic (rice fields), that maybe can be used for cranberries later, but that’s about it. A game that has modding, I don’t have to tell you, is all about what kind of functionality they can include and provide access to modders. They’re saying no built-in gps, which was the most requested feature, and essentially have a mod team (courseplay) that they can’t match the programming skill of clearly. Rumor is one of the maps is Zeilonka, so just recycling there. Looks like they might be including swathing. They are taking precision farming away, and haven’t discussed continuing with JD on that; I don’t know why they need JD’s permission but that’s what they said. That fog is to save some fps on distance rendering. I’m pretty disappointed and sad for the future of a game I fell in love with.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Bob. I'm not too excited by what I see so far, hopefully there will be some good gameplay reveals at FarmCon. As much as I like eating rice, I don't want to grow it. Perhaps Giants will attract more gamers from the Asian market? I just hope we are going to see great and timely support for mods and modders, they make the game for me, the base game is just a scaffold for them to build upon. 🙂👍
If they don't have a new engine and terrain deformation, better AI, many bugs fixed and a lot of other things players have wanted for years, then FS22 will be my last Farm sim. Their PS2 era graphics are laughable now with what games are doing.
I like the idea of rice but let’s see what happens. Would love a map of terraces like in Vietnam or Thailand where they farm mountains. The new equipment should be interesting. But will wait and see before doing the leap to new version
