I think I did this hike in either the last week of November or the first week of December. I think that you might have a good chance in late September, but probably not within the first 2-3 weeks.
Wait 13 miles? So you did make a wrong turn somewhere right because isn’t it supposed to be just under 9 miles? Now I’m scared I’m doing this hike in September and I’m severely out of shape myself lol 😅
I hiked all around the lake and a little farther. I also did a couple little spur trails on the way up. I would say that you will probably do around 10 miles roundtrip if you just hike to the lake and back. It is a hard hike, but if you take plenty of water, you will be fine. Don't rush. Enjoy the scenery. September is a great time to see this beautiful place in person! Good Luck!!!
That was stunning. The climb was a bit terrifying for me, but thank you for making it. The photos were amazing. So glad I will be able to still enjoy the PNW through your videos. Your efforts are appreciated!
@@zakandblue Yes thank you, a very nice video. Lake 22 i've always wanted to hike, but I live in Oregon so it is quite a distance for me to come. The forest service does not do a good job on trail conditions as the baker/snoqualmie web site shows lake 22 as being closed
@@danielmoung9098 Thanks so much. Lake 22 just closed a couple days ago. I was lucky enough to get in before it was closed. They are doing repairs to the trail. There were definitely some mudslide areas and some downed trees. Thanks for watching!!!
The first part reminds me of the scene in 'Dumb and Dumber' - "I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a bit rockier." Places that flat freak me out but you did a good job on this one. - Marshall
That sounds awesome! I want to go back in early October as well. Probably not this year but maybe next. I really want to hit the Yellowstone and the Tetons in Autumn. Good luck, you are going to have a fantastic time!
@@karasilvey8467 HAHA. I haven't had anything from Schwans in twenty years. I guess I need to go to their website and see if they deliver to my area!!!!!! I also loved their chicken strips and fudge bars. 🤣
It took me and friends 5 hours going up, and 6 hours going down. My friend injured her knee. The going down is never ending trail and yeah it made us disoriented.
That sucks your friend got injured. That would be an absolutely brutal hike down! It sucks under normal circumstances. It seriously never ever ever ever ever ends! Glad y'all made it out safe!
THANKS! I got one more Baca video coming next week. I hiked in a place I had never been to before. I'll let you know next time I come through. It's usually once or twice a year.
Well, thank you. I am glad you have no idea about how much anxiety I feel as I am doing the recording. HAHA. I am definitely still working on being comfortable doing that voice-over stuff. 😐😅
If you had asked me, I would have gone down to the Pike Place Market about 7:00 AM. Everyday, the outdoor vendors (called the Day Stalls because they rent their stalls each day) line up and get their stalls assigned. In other words, the Market is literally different each day. They ring a bell and all the vendors line up (it is also based on seniority). Then they go to their on-site storage or their trucks and bring out their merchandise. They set up their wares. It is cool to watch them at work. (Also good to note: Kerry Park was donated by the family--it was the site of the family home. Four or five blocks down Highland St W is the Parsons Gardens. It was not part of a parsonage; the family that lived next door--the house is still there--donated the park. You can actually rent the park for weddings; some summer days there are as many as three weddings in a day!)
Thank you for this video. i live in the desert but my soul is the trees and i come on here to watch videos just like this. I teared up pretty good with the beauty of it all. yes please do hug a tree and bare feet on the ground and just feel 🖤💫
I cannot express how grateful I am for this message. Thank you so much for watching. That is literally why I make these. Nature is so beautiful, and I just want to share what I am lucky enough to get to see with whoever wants to enjoy it. THANK YOU!
Beautiful trail and filming! Nice perspectives also, from the wide angle used to film the tall trees and the blue sky to the various shots of the different falls and of course the happy duck 🦆😂 thanks for sharing Zak! 👋
