Definitely always reminds me of John Laws Amen !! The first time I ever heard John Laws was back in 1985 I broke down on the side of the road in Grafton NSW Australia I got a toe truck to the mechanics and left my car there. I walked into the local supermarket and to buy some yogurt and heard this voice that was like no other it was john laws. He was talking to a young man that was struggling to find work , john was very sim pathetic and was really trying to encourage the young man , they talked for about 10 minutes on air and john asked his hair maiden to go and see if there was a gift that they could send out to this poor lad. I was totally engrossed in the way john was so caring and the words of wisdom that came out of his mouth to help this guy and then john asked one final question He said so how long has it been since you’ve had a job The young man replied it’s been 12 years John 😂 Then john loudly said get off my channel you lazy bum and go get a job 😂😂 from that day on John Laws has been my favourite radio announcer lol Year’s later in 1999 I did a landscaping job at Greenwich In Sydney’s North Shore in the alleyway of 2UE . I was building a small brick wall out the front and got to say hello to john twice when he was leaving he is such a kind fellow the status never went to his head he was just normal and happy to stop and say hello. As for this song it’s one of my favourites ❤
Best cross breed ever! Loving like a Staffy...intelligent like a Jack. I lost my baby last year at age 16. It broke my heart. She was like my child. She was so loving and smart. I miss her every day and I will never ever forget her.
Yes, the best dog I ever owned was my Miss Lola, a Staffie Jack Cross, she only lived to 12 years I miss her so much, she was like a Jack Russell on steroids. We have a little Jack Russell pup now, she's gorgeous, but old Miss Lola stole my heart.
My Mom's favorite album in 1968 was "A Tender Look At Love" (this song is from that album), she played it over and over while my Dad was in Australia for almost a year. He was a microwave communications engineer and a project manager at Pine Gap when it was first being built. His first trip over was in 1966, also about a year. They could only write letters (those funny airmail sheets of paper were like tissue), no phone calls. It was a top secret site, still is. She missed him so much, she would listen to these songs and cry. The song that got to her the most was "Dear Heart". I listened to it yesterday and realized why the lyrics made her cry: "Dear Heart, seems like a year since you've been out of my sight..." She kept every letter from him, and I have those now. I finally sat down and read them all, with my 27 year old son who was only 4 when his grandfather died. Couldn't help but notice Mama's dried tears on the pages. Those letters are treasures to me.
lived in australia for a bit would listen to John on 2GB when i could always entertaining. I do remember when he signed off from 2GB also. Loved how he started his show Hello world Im John Laws. The man with the golden mike. Cheers for posting
I love your videos of Sindie! I found them while researching the Jack Russell x Staffy breed as I found a sweet girl in the shelter who looks just like her! I adopted her and I absolutely love her. Thanks for the lovely videos. They are such wonderful loving dogs.
