I see this is 3 years old, if you are are still reading replys could you give me some advice please. I recently bought a l200 pickup. I have to open the doors with a key. I then have to put the touch key onto the sensor and the light flashes. I then have to show it again and I hear the central locking clunk and the light goes out ready for me to put the key in the ignition and start. Have i got something missing. Any help appreciated
this channel is saving my ass. i bought a used car, with a cobra security sistem. but i didn't knew. i thought it was a factory thing. not an aftermark security sistem. i just figured because i'm trying to get a car keyfob sincronyzed to the security sistem. But it's proving to be harder then expected. i have two questions: can i pair any car remote key to the cobra alarm system? or does it have to be specifically one of the fobs sold on cobra's website? second question: when i bought the car, the previous owner did not told me about any passcode. what should i do?
Hi just seen your video. I've bought a second hand Motorhome. And it's fitted with a Cobra alarm but wired into the fiat ducato key fob. Haven't got a separate fob like yours. Believe it an intruder only unit. The dealer and previous owner hasn't given me any paperwork. Or code numbers. I have that Led with the button on the dash. That you just demonstrated And it works as my wife set the alarm off by locking the doors while we were in the motorhome and the alarm went of because of the sensors detected us. What can I do. Tried contacting vadaphone auto but no luck

La chiave meccanica d'emergenza... deve stare in modalità "ON" oppure "ACCESSORI"? ---------- Should the mechanical emergency key be in "ON" or "ACCESSORIES" mode?

i need to locate the control module/unit on mine but can’t find it for the life of me. The wires from the thing you put the key in go towards the back of the car and can’t find any leading to the front. any idea?
Hi my Toyota mr2 won’t start with imbobikiser once the car battery was removed . Now i can’t start the car ? How do I overcome and start the car please?
What year is your T4? Is this system compatible with 1999 T4? Everything is manual, so not sure if this can be installed as there's no existing wiring per se. Please advise.
Thanks for getting in touch. Please call the office on 01634724472 Mon-Fri / 09:00-17:00 to discuss requirements in more detail with an installation technician. I’m sure we can help.
for owners in the US, could you please provide any insight to this procedure? I'm certain tapping into the live power for the lights below and routing to the trunk mounted "brake" lights is involved, and possibly another ground... It's not rocket science, but insight would help.
Nothing against your key modification but never understood the benefit of Keyless entry. How much effort does it take to press a button on the fob & then physically insert & turn the key to start the car.
I share & agree with your opinion. But, established 30+ years we’re in the business of vehicle security enhancements. If a product is available to better secure a vehicle & we’ve customers that have the requirement, we’ll offer the solution within our range of available products and services.

Thanks for saving my ass. We came back from hiking late evening and my ass was freezing. I had the key and I was pytting it in, but forgot to wait for the LED to blink and then turn on the ignition and turn it off. You rock!
So that’s basically like having two car keys then.. people lose their car keys and now gotta worry about another card .. what if the card is also stolen along with the car keys ?
Not really like having two keys? The card is an additional layer of security above your key. Should you decide to keep key & card together the whole idea is obviously compromised. If you can’t manage keeping a card in your wallet separate from your car key the system can be configured to see your smartphone as authorisation before the car will start instead of the card. Obviously if you don’t want to use a card or your phone as an additional layer of security to protect your vehicle from theft then this systems probably not ideal for you.
@@AutosparxUK thanks for the reply. I was just wondering if the phone can be hacked/copied because it’s just an app one is relying on to secure the car. If OEM keys can be cloned /copied, so can the simple app unless it’s got some serious encryption. Could you reassure? Thanks
Fair point but the manufacturers have had the system tested & evaluated which is how it gets it’s Thatcham accreditation to give you some peace of mind. Obviously no system can be 100% guaranteed to keep it yours but the more layers of security you have that they’re not expecting, then the more chance you have of keeping your asset safe. Typically those cloning / replicating your car key will be scamming for a particular code. It’s all about the layers, you could always add a further separate immobiliser if required.

It’s a Thatcham accredited system so it’s been thoroughly tested & evaluated. However our advice is always ‘the more layers, the better’ You could always add a secondary analogue immobilisation system to give further peace of mind.
Can you buy those buttons separately? Mine has completely fell apart and no longer as a ‘click’. I’ve unplugged it from the system but could do with a replacement
The replacement barrels are built more securely than the OE ones making jamming a screwdriver in a little pointless but thats not to say they wouldn’t have a go anyway🤷🏼♂️
Found this site and perhaps you can help?. My Son's Golf Mk2 has langished in my Garage for eight years and it has only part of what this system seems to be. He said its a nightmare and believe me after eight years I've had no end of things to do to try to get this Car to where I can extricate it from my Garage. He can't even remember how the Laserline system works. He only had the little key type thing with two prongs. With an almost dead battery (not 8 years old) I've tried to unlock the immobiliser to start the Car. Do I insert it once and expect the light to go out? Or does the light stay on and flash? Do I have to insert it twice rather than once? I'd like to disable the system and note a small box under the bonnet by the Water bottle which I assume is the box. It only flashes the side and tails when I first connect the battery. These stop after I insert the prongs, but rarely will the Car turnover. It did once. Maybe its just the battery. Any advice or help will be grateful. Thanks Stuart
It is possible to disable the keyless entry feature and just use the fob in the traditional manner, i.e. press the lock / unlock buttons. This can be done without opening the fob, however it's not documented in the manual.
Keyless / proximity entry is a feature that can be disabled by your JLR dealer or third party with the relevant level of diagnostic equipment. And we recommend turning it off only any vehicle where possible.
Search how to disable keyless entry on RU-vid and there is videos to do so. But u just press 3 times on the light button then 1 time on the unlock button to disable it.
