Ray Milland was a terrific actor. He could switch easily from a deep drammatic to a light comedian role and viceversa, from british accent to american and viceversa and keep a high level performance.
Veronica Lake:started the peek-a-boo hair craze with this movie. Along with a few others, was the inspiration for the final version of Jessica Rabbitt. A 4'11" enigmatic star forever remembered on Hollywood's Walk Of Fame, who's shine left us all too early.

I like this because it shows him with the love of his life, Kathryn. If I were his wife, I would never be able to share him with the world. Takes a wonderful and special woman to be his wife. She is an angel. BEST LOOKING....BEST ACTOR...KYLE CHANDLER!
You're not alone. What really clinches it is the realization that almost any of her (male) fans would have been better for her than the succession of dirt-bag men she married.
