2:47:38 not sure if anyones mentioned this but in hertas space station himekos weapon from hi3 is on a display near the windglider and if you use himeko and interact with it you get a really sad thinamabobby and its basically describing this scene and it’s so sad man. my heart breaks everytime i see himeko in hsr :((

@@silopunk I didn't just enjoyed it, I LOVED IT so much that I finished every exploration on the whole map. I've experienced a bit of lag on the 1.2 version but after the newest update, I haven't experienced a single bit of lag. Shout-out to Kuro Games for giving so much love for their Rovers!
2:58:30 one of my favourite things to do is to actually debate for the opposite side you believe in. I find to so fascinating and fun to come up with arguments and counter arguments against my normal viewpoint. P.S: I'm currently consolidating some maths notes while watching this and I laugh at the irony 😅
Literally my account but I’m very on the fence about staying with jp atp since I do love English dub Shorekeeper and the voice direction has been improving a lot since 1.0
I hope they get the budget on voice acting and frequent story developement events akin to Genshin Impact. I'm kind of spoiled with Genshin's writers ability to evolve existing characters over the years. I.E: Collei more sociable, and learns how to read; Eula having more friends and likes to buy them stuff, Nahida going to get a birthday event, Navia and Chlorinde being great friends, etc etc. I want to see more of Changli's lore of Fire Manipulation and her shortening her lifespan; I want to see more ShoreKeeper - it'd be nice for her to go outside of the Black Shores and be with friends and fellow waifus. ;3 (Changli vs Shorekeeper in Weuji match. Her computational powers will overwhelm Changli lol)
Imma be real I already find Wuwas story and writing (especially 1.1 and 1.3 stories) way more engaging and interesting than Genshin. But yeah, I hope they keep improving.
@@xhydroxfor me ik wuwa story is not at level of current genshin but as you said, i am more engaged to wuwa's story because of the dialogue animations, they make me feel much more immersed in them
@@killuad0 Honestly I'd say the opposite Genshin has been flimsy with their storytelling for a while, they have this level they've surpassed it at times but the road is polluted with so much unnecessary stuff, Fontaine for example had so much filler and when the finale hit it came with very high highs and really low lows, remember the arc of Wrio? so much build up for nothing. This story could've been longer and that's about 2 or 3 problems it had but honestly aside the science jargon being a bit on the heavy side for some it was extremely satisfying.
Reverse 1999 almost-expert here :3 just to give u some fun facts -Sophia doesn’t have a number for a name because she doesn’t know what it is! 37 is the one who figures out the ‘soul numbers’ (at least I think) but when she figured out Sopiha’s, she gave it to her in a note in a bottle, and Sophia threw it into the ocean. Sophia does reveal her number eventually, but those are kind of major spoilers!! -Tooth Fairy, I think, was always tormented by tooth fairies when she was young, so she resorted to eating them, in which she realized they have really good healing properties, making her one of the best healers in the game atm. So it isn’t that much her fault that she’s creepy (?) -Blonney’s name is (probably) some sort of wordplay where her name is supposed to sound like ‘Blondie’, which is basically her character. She’s like the dumb blondie in old movies, and she’s very aware of it. -When Spathodea was like ‘I didn’t know we were decendants of the red dragon!’ or something along the lines of that, that’s supposed to be a joke, because she really isn’t and that’s supposed to sound super absurd. But ig for Reverse it really isn’t lol. -Eternity does have a jellyfish purse, and she has a line where she’s trying to sell it either in her Voice or Anecdote. She was and or still is an actor, and a shopowner(?) you can kind of call her a con artist too lol -Isolde’s family is a family cursed with eventually falling into hysteria, and so she’s scared she will go insane as well (she has childhood trauma of watching her mother kill her father due to this!) and that is what she’s trying to cure. Lots of arcanist families have things like this, like inherited insanity and stuff, which is why they don’t have a good reputation. -Shamane and Kalaa Baunaa’s trailers don’t actually have themselves speaking; it was actually their mentors! They do have small snippets, but it might be hard to tell ;; thats all ^^ i can now see that youve played a little so you might know this, but they only just really started doing replays and some of this info you can only get in events and character story (by getting the actual character and increasing your bond) so incase u dont know!

It's more like he erased his memories to prevent a bias from influencing his future judgement and findings about Lament and how to prevent it. To have a completly fresh perspective on things.
4:35 This is literally my reaction when we saw Rover. Something about them using both male and female Rover's voice at the same time makes him sound so omnipotent in this game and really fits their backstory. I hope they keep using both voices in trailers going forward.
VOD gang! For me, Chapter 6 is tied with Chapter 7 for being the best chapters yet. Also, the talk about Isolde and the caged bird imagery? Let's see: clad in white? Check. The most renowned singer of her hometown? Check. Has a brother? Check. Sings while in battle? Check. A support character with some follow up attack stuff? Check, check, check! No, but in all seriousness, so glad to see that you're enjoying the story! I can't wait for you to witness how everything unfolds and we'll be with you all the way. You won't be disappointed.

The chapter feels extra nice as I visited the places the character went in the past Chat sayed you can order the cake online but it will never taste the same as the original Sachertorte at their place
The switch of being super disturbed of Isolde’s treatment to laughing til tears roll of the Medic Pocket and Lucy interaction was hilarious to watch xD I lost my 50/50 for getting Marcus 😢 Hoffmann and Marcus are such a nice mentor and student pair. Especially Hoffman is such an attractive character sadly you don’t see characters design like this in other game.They also perfectly captured the german spirits with her
all the NPC & the works of wuthering waves are made with LOVE 🥹🩷 the game is sooo addicting! They listen to the players... I don't regret playing the game 🥰 Not everything is perfect, but Thank you for not giving us the bare minimum 🥺🦋💓
yesss i really love how kurogames has been telling the story! it started out slow, but it's definitely gotten way better now. i can't wait to see more from them!!
3:12:20 i know you said that it sounds cruel but this is referring to the Allegory of the Cave, which is a philposophy thing. Idk if it ACTUALLY happened, i wasnt paying attention much to the trivial details. But i think its a hypothetical situation. No prisoners were actually locked in a cave, i think. But yeah im with you, its cruel 😂 This chapter is more of philposophy, beliefs, and math. So the nerd inside me was freaking out at the mention of prisoners in the cave, fire, shadows, truth, and belief because we just learned this in class like 5 months ago Senior high school lessons prepared me for this chapter 😅 it was perfect timing when i plpayed it tbh
About Shorekeeper's identity.. I think she's Gaia, or "Mother Earth", as it's been hinted she's actually millions (maybe billions) of years old. I believe she's made of the Remnant Energy or "memories" of the planet itself, like a naturally occurring Sentinel, and that once Rover found her through their crazy strong resonance ability they gave her this duty to maintain the Black Shores. This made her feel at peace, as she could finally help her "children" and that allowed her to solidify her physical form on a more permanent basis, giving rise to the woman we see here as "The Shorekeeper" I get a vibe similar to yours: she's like a God, omniscient and omnipresent but instead of omnipotent, she's totally impotent.. A Deity who sees all, knows all, feels all, but can't DO anything at all.. that's why she is in such agony over the eons, and why she feels so indebted to us for giving her a purpose
she must have lived an awfully lonely life for many years, unable to do anything to help humanity. 😭 i think it's definitely worse to be forced to be an observer when there's so much suffering going around. i can't wait to see how her relationship with the rover is going to be written out!! after changli's quest, i am sure ready to cry. 🥹
@silopunk also, something most people aren't aware of is that the lore/setting of Kuro's original title, "Punishing Grey Raven" is insanely vast and involves all.sorts of hard sci-fi and multiversal wackiness; similar in spirit to the Honkai lore of Hoyoverse's games.. and if you analyze the lore we've been exposed to so far, especially in Act 5 and beyond there are a lot of parallels between WuWa & PGR that, assuming the lore is connected as it is in Hoyoverse's case, have fascinating implications for where we could be going
I feel like the translators naming it Lament did wuwa dirty lmao, that xiao meme is so old it feels deliberate. Like they could name it any other synonym of apocalypse or make something up
@@Noobster474 yeah it's cool if they just meme and have fun with it but some also say "haha genshin copy being shameless haha" I also don't like english translators in general in wuwa. They feel 5050, sometimes it's great sometimes, it's bad.

@@doedoel035 Lament isn't even a "situation" it's a expression.. you are forcing it to be lament with those description when it's just easily replacable with any Disaster sounding name like Ragnarok/Apocalypse/Devastation and mix the words like the WaveWorn which is what happens in the lament. Wuthering Waves literally is the title of the game. And Rover said it in the Shorekeeper trailer and not lament. Japanese lament is literally "Sounds of screams" "Himei"
The location where she’s witnessing it go down is the inferno rider location! So it makes you wonder how far she must have walked/travelled to get there. Considering she is made of pure energy, in a way, I feel like she’s the direct opposite of a TD yk. Maybe she manifested with conscience but no purpose until rover gave that to her. Who knows, maybe that’s the case with jue too since its still iffy about jue’s life before rover

re: the Narrators (both Grandpa and Grandma) From what I understand, they seem to be like some sort of omniscient POV that gives more context or worldbuilding to whatever's happening. At the point of the story you're in, I don't think there's a proper explanation yet of who they're supposed to be. A lot of what they're saying makes so much sense after you have played through the entire story and some of the dialogues have some contexts that go beyond the chapters that they're in (I hope this isn't spoilery). For instance, it was in a conversation with Grandpa that we found out that Schneider has 11 sisters and that she's an adopted child. It's also from Grandpa that we found out that Madame Z is from the East and that she used to wear pigtails.
I genuinely loved this showcase. Almost made me pull for her. Almost. That said, I don’t really like the idea of her existence just for rover. It feels a bit… weird to me? But I hope they explain that properly in 1.3 what they meant. I heard a few theories why she’s here at Blackshore and what her connections are to rover. So I’m curious! Also, they used both Rovers’ voices and in Shorekeeper’s eyes, you can see both the male and female rover too!! I love that detail because I thought they’d shy away from using female rover and I’m sooo glad they didn’t.
Male rovers voice are in the left side and his character is on the left side of shorekeepers eyes, female rover is at the right side vise versa and In my opinion, shorekeeper is a must pull because she is a healer, buffer and pretty much a better verina with crit dmg buff and extra dmg but yeah, pull who you want to pull
@@Mystical_Guardian Yep, I’m aware but I don’t generally pull for female characters and I missed on Jiyan so he is a priority first. Plus I have S1 Verina and Baizhi built so I’m good on that front, crit damage isn’t the priority to me when most of my echoes rolls into there haha… sadly. But good luck on your pulls! I mean its up to the writer Wuwa to narrate the story or we could get the old narrative where rover is a mere stranger who just pop up from nowhere n pop off with otherworldly power which make them suspicious about rover and so on😅 But Im also curious why Shorekeeper existed just for rover 😂 😂

I just hope there’s a concrete reason instead of the ahhh typical waifu route where the female character exists and solely depends on the protagonist just because he’s the only one who ever understands her. That’ll ruin her character for me imo. We shall see tomorrow!
@@starstarsparkles From the various official posts and videos, shorekeeper is likely a natural born phenomena, energy gaining sentience and lived in peaceful time b4 lament started. She was devasted by the lament and almost perished but rover saved her by giving her a purpose(creating black shores,etc). I guess after that is how she gain attachment to rover for giving her a reason to live and the bonds they had while they built black shores and their time there. These are all the inferences that can be made from the information available, so it will be very interesting to see what's more when patch goes live.

The other version usually is the one that's used in the Mane's Bulletin mode if you want to see what that looks like (when that event fight comes back anyway).
