Jimmie Nola's 86 pound catch is burned into my memory! C-Rig 6' leader, strong win and waves, fishing grass at the 147 bridge, brakes his rod and still catches it....one of the best events of all time! and NO FFS😂
@@CBGRTR locating the fish is one of the most important skills. using sonar to easily locate them is dumb. thats why they are all catching smallmouths because they are easier to catch on FFS. it literally takes away majority of the skill and the fun part of fishing. you dont have to cover a bunch of water to find it. just go straight to a gps marked spot and throw a jighead with a minnow that matches the hatch. 90% of these guys are buying gps marked spots and fishing them off the bat. they dont really even break the lake down anymore in practice. thats why we are seeing REAL YOUNG guys hit top 5 at a lake and never been there before. Trey McKinney is literally my neighbor and he grew up fishing in MY POND. Hes also been on the boat with me several times. Hes a good angler but hes no AOY without FFS/LiveScope. Trey would have a meltdown if his equipment stopped working, he wouldn't know what to do, tbh. Love the kid but hes just a sonar baby. Hes no better than I am at angling when FFS isnt involved.
@@NineteenEighty8 don't forget though a 20 year old now days has 10 years experience already so many you tube video and information they can pick up at a push of a button and FFS to boot see I didn't have all that growing uo I had to figure it out on th water but I din agree with banning FFS just limiting it less screens and Less transducers all you can do at this pint if thy was gonna ban it should've did that to start with ..cats out of the bag now too late..
Back before they killed bass fishing with ffs! I sure miss watching the pros pattern fish! It sucks to watch guy's stare at a screen and play video games now! Take those electronics away most of them could catch a fish!

Buddy of mine just bought a boat from this tournament from someone who found it in a barn. His boat has the number 40 on the windshield. Can't for the life me can i find a list of who used what number boat. Does anyone have a resource foe something like that?
Yeah, I’ve lived in Pittsburgh my entire life, fished the Mon river the Allegheny, and the Ohio, for 26-28 years. When I heard about this I just had to laugh. This is the absolute worst possible place to hold a professional bass tournament. Definitely not a bass fishery to any degree. I read an article right around the time this tournament was in town about the reason why there was just not a lot of bass in the rivers. Apparently what was going on was that the water, treatment facilities or at least a water treatment facility was treating water, but apparently not well enough to filter out remnants of birth control that got in the water, and intern, apparently, through taking samples of largemouth bass that were caught, were found to have high levels of human birth control in them
Tony Christian is a serious scumbag .. that big fish was skinny because it’s been in a barrel for days waiting for the d bag to put his jig in it. This guys name should be uttered around every fishing tournament trail. This guy should be banned for life !!!
Back when Jeff use to be a really nice guy. We were good friends...at least I thought so. His life really spiraled downhill when he cheated on the best most loyal woman around.. Ms Kathy. He cheated on her with a crackhead stripper and lost everything. But I will say this....he was a standup guy at one time whom I admired and looked up to. So sad.
