Este es el mejor documental que he visto sobre el Camino, muchas gracias por haber ofrecido una visión real del verdadero peregrinaje alejada de los tópicos y de la estupidez que está creciendo a pasos agigantados en el Camino de Santiago.
In the surfing world we call it , Getting our Stoke as we watch the waves coming in ! I start my Camino in less than 20 days and Yes , I'm beginning to get my Camino Stoke😂😂
I'm watching this on a 65" 4K television 📺 and I came in here to see if you had said what you filmed it on because the cinematography is so impressive 😮😊 amazing 👏
Thanks for the comment! It was filmed in an Iphone7+. At the time, the film was part of my dissertation for my bachelor in Journalism and I wanted to see if mobile phones could really democratize citizen participation. I'm glad it holds out on a 65'' tv :)
Great shots, and grand editing. Love the blackened moments as in “Doubt” episode; the discovery that the way itself (and not the destination) that is important….among many. They capture & water the soul 😉. One carries fruits of past deeds but as you said we are still the ones who decide our future path. “Let 🩵 be the core” - DH Hebat ! (Indonesian).
Alexandre, que documentário! Me emocionei muito! Percorrer o Caminho de Santiago de Compostela é sem duvida, algo que quero fazer em minha vida. Obrigada por essa linda contribuição!
Wow! What a fantastic video. The best one I have seen apart from the movie The Way. Congratulations!!! My favourite was David. I hope I get to meet him next May/June. 🙏
Hmmm, can't leave this without being a bit cynical. Everything happens for a reason? Even the Holocaust? Torture, murder, war? I don't buy it. I'm glad the Camino is therapy for people, but let's not make stuff up.
Simply the best account of the Camino I've seen. It's the perfect antidote to the tiresomely unoriginal "look at me walking the Camino" videos that proliferate on RU-vid.
Excellent film. I have walked the entire journey over 3 separate periods and am compelled to return and complete the entire journey from St Jean to Santiago in a single trip. Your film captured the essence and feeling of the pilgrimage that each and everyone who walks the way experiences. It is filled with amazing experiences and the people one meets are what makes it a joyful spiritual journey.. we become part of an extended family and many experience unexplainable coincidences and awakenings no matter their reason for being there. My personal experience was profound and I am a believer that this journey will change your life in ways you can not imagine.
What a beautifully put together video, every little bit contains such gems. I walked the Camino first time in September 2019 then COVID happened and so much has changed as a result that just 4 years later the memories have almost completely faded. Now I am planning my second Camino next September and this video has been so great it makes me want to jump right in and get going. Thank you 🙏
Tears in my eyes. This is so exquisite, Alexandre! Just stunning. You have a very bright future ahead of you as a writer and videographer--a born storyteller. Parabéns!
I too have watched dozens of YT'rs videos in preparation for my Camino Frances April '23. Your's featured the content I was looking for, in the depths, opening windows into the hearts and minds of the pilgrims and especially those who would simply devote their lives to helping others. May your journalism quest bring you more success. For me, you deserve and 'A' for your project.
Not really one for words …But man this hit me like a sledgehammer …Thankyou , Absolutely Superb….. like others have said you have absolutely captured the essence of life …and the Camino ❤…Thankyou
Fabulous film. Your photography was stunning and the questions were so thought provoking. They will join me on my next Camino, but am taking them in now, too. Had the immense pleasure of meeting David in 2018, at Maribels right outside of Pamplona. He has the best "job" one could ever wish for. The emphasis on kindness was a common thread going through this whole film and it is so very true and important. Thank you for making this film
Thank you so much for sharing and having people speak in their own language about what draws them to the Camino and why! Very inspiring….hope to walk the Camino within the next 2-3 years. Buen Camino et Bon Chemin. 🙏💕☘️
I have never been able to drive because of a disability. I have carried kids, groceries, textbooks, in every lind of weather. Seeing people walk far and carry heavy loads because they feel like it, well, good! I hope they help .First Aid looks alright in Spanish. Buena suerte y bien voyages!
A wonderful film, congratulations, Beautifully done. Nothing is over explained and there is a calm about the whole film that perhaps is what I will find when I do the walk next year. I hope you got top marks for your degree with this piece of filmmaking.
tenho um sonho antigo de fazer o caminho. vou fazer uma parte em maio 2023. Seu documentário, Alexandre, me motivou ainda mais. Obrigada Muito sensível
as a child very very young i loved to walk, my father would drink a lot and to take me out if that situation, the lady owning the pub she would take me with her on sunday hikes they where long for a child but i loved it, i was a real huckleberry as from a young age i would be im the streets yet i would walk so far especially for a child 15km was normal, when i fresly came out of jail, about 13years ago i was lost and about to do stupid stuff, in my path came the person whom then became my bf his father was an orthodox priest and his lastname was pelgrims, ... i didn t connect any dots, one of my best friends literally calls me gipsy and one of the meanings of my name is wanderer (gypsy), i have no idea why but i just know i need to walk, i had tought about the camino yet not further then that, now lately i m crossing different ppl on my path who have done it and they randomly talk about it,... and even though i have no contact with my ex (pelgrims) i cross him all over town like the univers just keeps on pointing me in that direction ... i think I should answer that call
What a story!! I am certain that you only have to gain if you let yourself be open to the possibilities and opportunities that life puts in your path. Let us know how it goes, if you do decide to undertake the Camino. Good luck, my friend
